Gauhati University Inter College Kho-Kho Tournament-2019 Organised by Jagiroad College, Jagiroad, Morigaon, Assam, PIN-782410 Dates: 29, 30 and 31 January, 2019 An Appeal To All the honourable Principals of the Colleges Affiliated to the Gauhati University We are delighted to inform all the honourable Principals of the Colleges affiliated to the Gauhati University (GU) that for the first time in the GU Inter College History, the Kho-Kho Tournament event will be held and it has been allotted by the GU sports Board to Jagiroad College for organising this prestigious National Event. The organising committee constituted for the purpose has finalised the dates from 29 th to 31 st January, 2019 for holding the event. As the Kho-Kho is purely an Indian Game and a large pool of Kho-Kho players is available tilltheir 12 th standards in different Schools and Junior as well as senior Colleges in Assam. So, there is perhaps no dearth of Kho-Kho players in the Colleges of Assam particularly in the Colleges under GU. We the organising Committee appeal you all the honourable Principals of the Colleges affiliated to the GU to send their Kho-Kho team so as to make the Tournament a success. G.U. Inter College Kho-Kho Tournament, 2019 Jagiroad College 29-31 January, 2019 SUMMERY INFORMATION SHEET 1. The tournament for both Boys and Girls will be held at Jagiroad College,Morigaon,Assam. 2. The Tournament will be conducted as per the rules of the Assam Kho-Kho Association. 3. i. The participating teams must be constituted only with the bonafide and regular TDC or PG students of the College affiliated to the Gauhati University Sports Board. ii.a student shall represent a College only ifa. He/She is a bonafide TDC or PG student of the College. b. His/Her name appears in College Roll. c. He/She is accredited by Principal of the college. d. His/Her age should be below 25 years of age on 1 st July, 2018. 4. The players of the team must submit the following documents. i. College Identity Card(Up-to-date). ii. Certificate of the Principal (Format enclosed-annexure-i) iii. Personal Bio-Data (Format enclosed-annexure-ii) iv. A recent Passport Size colour photograph of each of the player signed by the principal of the College and must be submitted along with Personal Bio-Data. v. Certified Xerox Copy of H.S.L.C. Admit Card must be enclosed. 5. Each team must not exceed 13 (thirteen) members : Players(9 nos) + Reserve Player(4 nos) + Team-Manager(1 no) + Prof-in- Charge(1 no). 6. Each Team must be accompanied by one Prof-in-Charge during its stay in the tournament. 7. Travelling and other expenses of the teams will not bear by the Host College or G.U. Sports Board. 8. Food and lodging will be provided only to the participant players, Team Manager and Prof-in Charge from 28 th January, 2019. They have to bring their own hold-all (with mosquito net). 9. After arrival the teams should report immediately to the Reception office of the college & submit 1 (one) number of College Flag at the time of registration. 10. The team should reach the venue at Jagiroad College, a day ahead of the Scheduled game. 11. The teams must have their own kits (Sport shoes, Jersey 2 sets with both side numbering) etc. 12. i. Joining fee for the tournament is Rs. 1000/- (Rupees One Thousand only) (Per Team). ii. Team Member registration fees Rs. 300/- (Rupees Three hundred only) per head. 13. The participants are to be medically fit and free from any kind of drug addiction. 14. Umpire & Match Referee s (Provided by Referee Board, Assam Kho-Kho Association) decision will be final in the tournament. 15. Last Date of joining is 22th January, 2019. Interested Participants may communicate and submit their filled up forms (Scanned copy) through the email as mentioned in the brochure. Original Forms should be submitted at the time of registration.
