DD Boesiger Memorial Fund STEM & Aviation Scholarship/Grant The family and friends of Dwight D. Boesiger created this scholarship in his memory in 2018. Dwight worked over 30 years as a Chemical Engineer with Phillips Petroleum Company primarily in Research and Development. Upon retirement in 1993, Dwight pursued his passion for flying and became a certified flight instructor. Teaching others to fly was one of his biggest thrills and nothing made him happier than seeing his students become proficient pilots. Dwight was also a continuous student and delved with glee into researching any project he undertook. He enjoyed tutoring and encouraging students in the pursuit of science and technology. In memory of Dwight's penchant for research, and drive to share knowledge and encourage learning, this award is presented each year to a college-bound senior who is interested in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math (STEM), or Aviation; and who embodies the qualities of a natural leader--integrity, community involvement, and a positive attitude.
