Registration: If you have not completed the online verification process to register your child, the student system will shutdown on Thursday, June 23rd. Please complete this NECESSARY process before this date to ensure your child is placed on a class list. Summer Library: We are very excited to announce that the Georgetown library will be open again this summer for book checkout. The summer library will take place on TUESDAYS from 9:30 11:30 from June 14th through July 19 th. In addition to book checkout, we will also be hosting some activities on the following Tuesdays: June 14th will be a book checkout only day. June 21st we will be hosting a cartoonist to share some cartooning drawing techniques with us. June 28th we will have the Great Chezaday (Chez a day). He is a local magician and an illusionist. It will be a fun time for all as he marvels us with his talents. July 5th we will host two programs from the Willowbrook Wildlife haven featuring live reptiles. The first program from 9:30 10:30 is geared for grades 1 2 called What is a Reptile? and from 10:30 11:30 will be a program geared for grades 3 5 called Reptile Reviews. July 12th we will have another opportunity to learn additional cartooning art. July 17th we will welcome the Fox Valley Therapy Dogs as they visit the Georgetown LMC. Please take a trip up to the Georgetown LMC to check out some summer reading and enjoy our morning programs. We look forward to seeing a lot of our Georgetown students at the Georgetown LMC on Tuesday mornings.
Aurora Library Book Mobile: They will be here at Georgetown School on Fridays from 10:15 to l l a.m. June 10 through August 1 2. During thi s time, residents may come on board to check out books and other materials. In addition, they may register for a libr ary card and for the Aurora Public Librar y's su mm er reading program, On your mark, get set Read!. The summer reading program offers great prizes for adults, teens, and children as an incentive and a reward for th e reading our patrons do over the summer months. WILDCAT CARNIVAL SAVE THE DATE: Thursday Sunday July 14 17th! Located at the Neuqua Valley HS Parking lot. Rides, games, food and possibly some Neuqua 'celebrities'! Carnival hours will be: Friday July 15th 5 10 PM Saturday July 16th 12 10 PM Sunday July 17th 12 9 PM Special Needs Carnival hours will be: Saturday July 16th 11am 1pm This session will be dedicated to our special needs kids only, without loud music or blinking lights stimulation. Special Needs attendees and their families may ride rides at no costs for up to two hours. The first hour exclusively for special needs families.
