What is Stinger Night? Stinger Night is an opportunity for MMS and the community to join together for an evening of family fun that includes: challenging academic games from all content areas (including our enrichment classes) aligned to the Common Core, student art work on display, music performances from both our chorus and band, technology, foreign language, physical education, volunteer training, a silent auction, a dunking booth, face painting, a cake walk, door prizes, pie a teacher, pie eating contest, and food available. The evening begins at 5:00 p.m. and ends at 7:45 p.m. Dinner will begin serving at 6:15 p.m. Please come out and join MMS and the PTSA! This can include items such as: fishing equipment, sporting equipment, hunting equipment, golfing, game tickets, clothing, gift certificates, mugs, bags, hats, etc. If you would like to send in an item to be included in the basket which represents your grade-level theme, please give it to your homeroom teacher. All baskets will be used for the Silent Auction during Stinger Night. Depending on the donations, we could have several themed baskets per grade level available for bids. November 5, 2015 Dear Parents/Guardians: Fall parent/teacher conferences are scheduled for November 23 rd and November 24 th. Our conference times for this year will be 8:00am 6:00pm on Monday, November 23 rd and 8:00am 1:00pm on Tuesday, November 24 th. Parents are an integral part of the success of every student and are encouraged to come, especially if you have any concerns. This year, we ask that you identify a time that is convenient for you, the teachers you would like to see as well as any concerns you have. By identifying the concerns ahead of time, our teachers will be able to have a plan for success ready for your child at the time of the conference. If you would like to attend the conference to discuss the progress of your child, please fill out the back of this letter and have your child return it to their homeroom teacher and we will be happy to schedule an appointment for you. Girls Softball Clinic Ages 8-16 Department of Community Services, Recreation Department Head Coach Kenny Magersupp of the Wagner s/magersupp 18u travel softball and Queen Anne s Recreation will be having a softball clinic for two days. Coach Magersupp has been coaching A level travel ball for over 10 years. Coach Magersupp is also the assistant Head Coach for the Mount De Sales Academy in Baltimore where he specializes in hitting, defense and catching. The two day clinic will include: pitching, catching, throwing, base running and hitting/bunting, sliding and more. Sessions will be 4 hours for two days.
