The Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH), Georgia Health Care Association (GHCA) and the Georgia Hospital Association (GHA) will hold a High-Level Disinfection and Sterilization Training educational program March 13, 2019 at the Georgia Hospital Association (GHA) Education Center, 1675 Terrell Mill Road, SE, Marietta GA 30067, 770-249-4500. Faculty for this training is Latasha L. Hall, BHA, CBSPD, CRCST, CHL, Quality Manager, Sterile Processing at Northside Hospital in Atlanta. Who Should Attend This training will be useful for participants that work at a Georgia hospital or outpatient surgical center and work with High-Level Disinfection and Sterilization processes. Registration Information This program is being funded by a grant from the Georgia Department of Public Health. There is no registration fee to attend. Identify current standards and resources related to reprocessing instruments and equipment: High Level Disinfection and Sterilization 2. Perform the processes involved in High Level Disinfection and Sterilization 3. Analyze methods/processes for quality assurance in High Level Disinfection and Sterilization programs

Hotel Accommodations for Attendees Over 50 Miles Away GHA will reimburse attendees whose place of employment is over 50 miles from the meeting location for up to two nights hotel stay. Participants should submit a copy of their receipt with the GHA Expense Report. Mileage reimbursement should be submitted to your place of employment. For participants needing hotel accommodations, the GHA has a preferred client rate at the Doubletree by Hilton Atlanta - Marietta, of $129.00 per night single occupancy. This hotel is conveniently located to the GHA Education Center at 2055 South Park Place, Atlanta, GA 30339. The hotel has a free shuttle to the GHA Education Center. If you chose to stay at another hotel, it must not exceed the GSA per diem for Atlanta, which is currently $152, inclusive, per night. GHA cannot reimburse hotel rooms that are over the GSA per diem rate. Continuing Education Hours The Georgia Hospital Association Research & Education Foundation is accredited by the Medical Association of Georgia to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The Georgia Hospital Association Research & Education Foundation designates this live activity for a maximum of 7.5 AMA PRA Category1 Credits TM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. The Georgia Hospital Association is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Alabama State Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center s Commission on Accreditation. Approved for 7.5 contact hours. The Georgia Hospital Association is an approved provider of nursing home administrator credits by the Georgia Board of Nursing Home Administrators.
