A job well done by our SGA on a successful spirit week and fantastic homecoming dance. Congratulations go out to our Varsity Football Team and coaches for a huge homecoming win over St. Andrews 47-0!!! Our Fine Arts Dept. has been busy as well preparing for their upcoming Fall performance, Completely Hollywood Abridged, which will be presented November 1st- 3rd. Many of our service oriented clubs along with their sponsors, are to be highly commended for their hard work in raising funds for many worthy causes. I am once again reminded that students at Coral Springs Charter School not only are very community minded but also have huge hearts! Finally, during this Thanksgiving season I hope everyone takes a moment to realize the many blessings we all share and to extend a helping hand to those not so fortunate. I consider myself very lucky to be a part of this wonderful CSCS family that makes coming to work so great. Go Panthers!

Starts with Hello is an initiative started by the Sandy Hook Promise organization. This is a program that is aimed at reducing social isolation through the simple gesture of saying hello to others and taking the time to notice when peers are in need. Devin Markovsky, Amanda Ginn, Shannon Doherty and Devin Shelton (peer counselors and SGA leaders) taught over 1,600 students the basic principles of how to initiate conversations and thereby reducing feelings of loneliness and isolation. We are very proud of these leaders for teaching peer to peer and seeking to make a difference in our school environment! 9
