Transcription:

Message from the Zeta Lambda President I was very pleased with the planning meeting that took place at the beginning of August. Most board members and committee chairs were able to participate in the planning for the upcoming year. Because of the smaller graduating nursing class size at Indiana University of Pennsylvania this year, the chapter will be holding only one induction ceremony for the 2002-2003 year in the spring. Along with this ceremony, we will be celebrating the 20 th anniversary of the chapter s charter. We are planning a very impressive evening to reflect upon the past history of the chapter as well as to honor our new inductees. Look for the exact date to be announced in the next newsletter. The event will be sometime in the month of March 2003. Two scholarly programs were sponsored by our chapter this past year. We are planning on co-sponsoring the Graduate Outcomes Day at Indiana University of Pennsylvania again in 2003. In addition to this, we will be promoting The Greater Pittsburgh Annual Nursing Research Conference to be held on November 1, 2002 in the Oakland area. This day has traditionally been sponsored by the Sigma Theta Tau chapters of the University of Pittsburgh, Carlow College, and Duquesne University. I look forward to another productive year as more members are becoming actively involved with the chapter and its activities. Please thoughtfully consider attending the 20 Year Celebration in March 2003. I would personally like to see a special showing of support and interest from the membership for this special event!
