Transnational clusters
Transnational clusters Purpose to enable the emergence of globally competitive strategic alliances and collaborations through establishing stronger linkages between existing regional and national clusters and initiating new transnational linkages between organizations. Strategic Idea The strategic idea for transnational cluster collaboration is to motivate and catalyze strategic opportunity (e.g. grand challenges) driven networked innovation processes through identifying unique capabilities of the clusters and through developing new growth opportunities for the BSR Region. The program will initially focus more on creating linkages between existing clusters (and other actors). In the longer run it will focus transnational cluster collaboration as a platform for more cross-sector, exploratory and risk-taking activities.
Transnational clusters Two complementary approaches on clustering activity: Networking of existing clusters Creation of new cross sector clusters/platforms & strategic alliances on the basis of grand business potentials
