Endowment Funds Cares & Shares Endowment Fund A way to ensure the community AND the Community Foundation flourish. Each gift benefits Muscatine County residents and nearly 100 area nonprofit organizations each year. Crossroads Foundation Endowment The purpose of this fund is to provide on-going financial support to Crossroads, Inc. which works with adults with disabilities to provide greater self-sufficiency. Diversity Service Center of Iowa The purpose of the Diversity Service Center of Iowa is to provide educational outreach services to guide individuals, organizations and employers through the immigration process. The organization works to establish a community of support and sense of security by advocating for minority and under-served senior citizens. Domestic Violence Shelter Maintenance Provides financial support for the maintenance and enhancement of the Domestic Violence Shelter home. Endow Iowa Provides micro-grants supporting volunteer work through the earnings of a grant from the State of Iowa. Family Resources, Inc. The purpose of the Fund is to maintain and enhance the programs, services and administrative facility in Muscatine County for the benefit of Muscatine County residents. Flickinger Learning Center Flickinger Learning Center provides educational opportunities for learners of all ages, races, beliefs and abilities for stronger individuals and a healthier community.

Friends of Muscatine Historic Preservation Endowment The purpose of this fund is to promote historic preservation in the city of Muscatine and surrounding areas. George Millett Memorial A gift from the Estate of George Millett used for the benefit of mentally ill and developmentally disabled residents of Muscatine County. Great River Tennis Association This fund started with a donation made in memory of Ron Tietge for the purpose of promoting and advancing tennis in Muscatine County. Greenwood Cemetery Steps Maintenance Acorn Endowment This acorn endowment fund was created to restore and preserve the Greenwood Cemetery steps for the enjoyment and education of future generations. John C. Stevens Endowment Honoring Richard and Shirley Jean Drake Endowment Fund This endowment fund was created to honor the memory and good work accomplished in our community by Richard and Shirley Jean Drake. Lois M. Walter Memorial A gift from the Estate of Lois M. Walter used to support local volunteer work through microgrants. Louisa-Muscatine Music Boosters Scholarship and Student Support Fund The purpose of the fund is to serve the needs of our student musicians and music faculty, and to support and promote music education excellence throughout the Louisa-Muscatine School District in grades K-12. Maurice A. and Donna J. Reed Endowment To honor the late Maurice Reed and to benefit charitable causes as advised by Donna Reed. Muscatine Arboretum Association Endowment This fund supports the efforts of the Muscatine Arboretum association to establish a permanent collection of plants for education, research, conservation and beautification. Muscatine Art Center Support Foundation Endowment Created by the Muscatine Art Support Foundation Board, this endowment fund supports the ongoing work of the Muscatine Art Center. A bequest has also been made to this cause with restrictions to collections management and conservation, exhibitions, acquisitions and other areas of support. Muscatine Center for Social Action Endowment (MCSA) This fund supports the efforts of the Muscatine Center for Social Action.

Muscatine Band Boosters Endowment The Muscatine Band Boosters actively support all performances and lend all possible support, both moral and financial, to the Muscatine High School band program. Muscatine County Arts Council Endowment This fund supports the efforts of the Muscatine County Arts Council. Muscatine County Endowment These funds originate from Iowa taxes on gambling. They are to improve the quality of life throughout the County in the areas of arts, culture, and humanities; education; environment and animals; health; human services; and public benefit. A portion of the annual amount received from the State of Iowa is used as a charitable fund for granting purposes and the remainder is held in an endowment and produces grants from the earnings. Muscatine Cultural Alliance Endowment Funds: Artists, musicians, writers, historians, performers and their supporters in Muscatine County have formed a charitable fund and an endowment to collect, invest, and award grants to support the arts and cultural organizations of Muscatine County. Friends of Pine Creek Mill This fund supports the efforts of the Pine Creek Grist Mill Muscatine Appearance Project This fund supports the improvement and beautification of Muscatine County Muscatine Civic Chorale This fund supports the efforts of the Muscatine Civic Chorale Muscatine Historic Preservation Commission This fund supports the efforts of the Historic Preservation Commission Muscatine History and Industry Center This fund supports the efforts of the History and Industry Center Muscatine Symphony Orchestra This fund supports the efforts of the Muscatine Symphony Orchestra Musser Public Library This fund supports the efforts of the Musser Public Library Muscatine Diabetes Project Endowment Provides support, empowerment and encouragement for Muscatine County area residents living with diabetes to live long, healthy, happy and productive lives. Old Barn Maintenance Fund An acorn fund to support the maintenance of the Old Barn and Cottage located at the site of the former Muscatine County Residence Home. Pat & Jim Powers Endowment The purpose of the fund is to provide grants for the benefit of mental health and other charitable causes in Muscatine County. Grants will be made to nonprofit organizations actively engaged in providing programs or services for those with mental health issues and/or mental illness.

Ray Hockersmith Memorial This fund allows blind, nearly blind or disabled children under the age of 15 to experience special recreational activities. Robert A. Werner Endowment The purpose of the Fund is to support curriculum and the curriculum-based learning environment for any and/or all students in Louisa-Muscatine Community School District in grades Kindergarten through 12. Senior Resources Endowment This fund promotes and provides programs to enhance the quality of life of our 60+ seniors in Muscatine County. Senior Resources Meals on Wheels Endowment In support of the mission of Meals on Wheels to help people remain in their own homes by providing a nutritional meal and a daily friendly contact. Stanley, Lande & Hunter Community Fund Employees of this local law firm can donate toward community projects through this fund. Strengthening Families This fund supports the training and education to improve parenting skills in Muscatine County. Sue Dravis Fund When funded through the proceeds of a life insurance policy, this fund will support missionary work of Muscatine s First Presbyterian Church. Tom Hendricks Community Service Award Endowment Created to honor Tom Hendricks decades of volunteer service and leadership, the Tom Hendricks Community Service Award is bestowed on a nonprofit organization as a part of the Community Foundation s Initiative Award Program. West Liberty Community Endowment Distributions from this fund go to support West Liberty area organizations and charitable programs West Liberty Park Endowment The proceeds from the sale of lots in West Liberty Park are deposited into this fund to promote West Liberty as a viable location for industry and commerce. West Liberty Youth Dream Catchers Endowment The purpose of this fund is to empower children through mentoring and scholarships to attain a post-secondary education. They wish to give opportunity to students that will be the first in their family to attend college, and provide them with skills they need to succeed.

Youth Sports Foundation Endowment The purpose of the Youth Sports Foundation Endowment is to provide support to the programs, services, facilities and participants of those eligible communities participating in the Youth Sports Foundation. Zoo Garden at Weed Park The purpose of the fund is to provide financial support for the maintenance and enhancement of the Zoo Garden at Weed Park.
