Fast Track to Innovation (FTI) Provides funding for bottom-up proposals for close-to-market innovation activities in any area of technology or application The aim is to: reduce time from idea to market, stimulate the participation of first-time applicants to EU research funding, and increase private sector investment in research and innovation. Call 2 - Integrating and opening RIs of European interest: Integrating Activities To open up key national and regional research infrastructures to all European researchers and to ensure their optimal use and joint development: Advanced Communities: RIs showing an advanced degree of coordination gained through previous IA grants One stage call. Targeted approach based on a Multi-Annual Plan (MAP) Emphasis on innovation aspects (e.g. knowledge and technology transfer, knowledge sharing through co-creation, i.e. joint development of high-tech components and solutions, promotion of RI use by industrial researchers), on widening trans-national and virtual access provision, and, in particular for "super advanced" communities (= those which have had at least 3 previous contracts), on addressing the sustainability of the integrated RI services provided at European level through, e.g., the involvement of funders and the preparation of a business plan beyond the end of the project. Starting Communities: never supported for their RI integration under EU-FP Two-stage call.
