LOAVES & FISHES FOOD PANTRY The Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry will be collecting food and nonperishable items EVERY Saturday and Sunday. Baskets will be left in the vestibule of the Church for your convenience. Please remember those who have very little. One canned good/item from each family one weekend a month can make a difference. GRIEF SUPPORT GROUP Embrace a newly formed Grief Support Group through Quad Co. Home Health & Hospice will host their meetings, on the 1 st & 3 rd Thursdays each month from 6:30 7:30 pm in the private dining room at Hickory Estates of Pana. Rachael Springate, Hospice Volunteer Coordinator said Losing someone you love or care about deeply is very painful. You may experience all kinds of difficult emotions and sadness. These are normal reactions to a significant loss. The need for a grief support group in this area was very evident and we want to encourage people of all ages to come, share and renew themselves through this new program. Facilitators for Embrace are Janet Hicks of Pana and Susan Hippard RN of Shelbyville. BAPTISMAL SESSIONS According to Canon Law, parents are asked to attend a Baptismal Session prior to their child s Baptism. We at St. Patrick s offer parents the opportunity to attend a Baptismal preparation session six times throughout the year. If you are expecting a child and anticipate Baptism, you are urged to attend a session as soon as possible. There is no need to wait until the child is born. PSAS is a company that Sacred Heart School uses that determines the financial need of families for tuition assistance. The tuition assistance fund is supported by the generosity of members of St. Patrick's Church; therefore, anyone seeking assistance must be active, participating members of St. Patrick's parish.
