CALENDAR OF EVENTS 2012 Initiative Descriptions Eligibility 2012 Dates Homelessness Support Skill Set Up to 50 staff involved in direct service delivery will be offered training in the Homelessness Support Skill Set Priority will be given to the staff of indigenous women s shelters and people in rural and remote areas and then to direct service delivery staff involved with homeless people. It is envisaged that up to 2 people from each service attend. Suitable sector participants may include: Carers & workers from foster, permanent, residential, adoptive & kinship care Family service workers Child protection workers Case managers Youth Justice The Integrated Workforce Development Strategy has identified an immediate need for frontline workers across the full spectrum of community services to be trained to work with children (ages 5-12) with trauma, grief or loss.
