LHS Sunday: Konzertchor students should arrive at St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth at 7:20 a.m. this Sunday, Jan. 13, for church. Students will sing as a part of the 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. church services. They will be ready for pickup at 11:40 a.m. Formal church attire is required. Thank You! Special Olympics of Sheboygan wants to recognize and thank the players and coaches from the Boys and Girls Basketball teams at Sheboygan Lutheran High School for their time and talents given at the Special Olympics Sheboygan Basketball Tournament held this past Sunday at South High. Without the volunteering of your time and talents, tournaments like this cannot be held. The athletes, coaches and parents of the Special Olympic participants cannot thank you enough for your efforts given. The Concessions Stand needs workers for Saturday, Jan. 12. Go to the LHS website, click on the volunteer tab, and sign-up to help. Music students can earn cash for their music tour and non-music students can earn school service hours. Service Hour Opportunity: St. Paul s Lutheran Church & School in Sheboygan needs help making pizzas starting at 7:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 26. Volunteers should enter through the church office building main entrance at 1810 N. 13th St., Sheboygan. Sign up in the School Office or see Mrs. Wetenkamp for more information. Public Safety Career Fair: LTC will hold a career fair highlighting Law Enforcement, Security & Corrections, EMS and Fire from 3 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17 in Centennial Hall on their campus located at 1290 North Ave., Cleveland. For more information, contact LTC s Career Placement Center at 920-693-1706 or email CPS@gotoltc.edu. 2019 WALLECA Law Enforcement Career Academy sponsored by the WI American Legion: WALLECA is for high school juniors and seniors interested in a career in law enforcement. The academy consists of class room instruction and physical training. Some of the classes are Crime Scene Investigation, Computer Crimes, Firearms Training, Ethics, Tactical Response and many more. Instructors are current or retired law enforcement professionals. WALLECA will be held at the Wis. State Patrol Academy at Fort McCoy from June 24 28, 2019. Cadets will stay in the academy dormitory. All meals are included. Go to www.wilegion.org for an application. Girls Jr. Crusaders: The LHS Girls Jr. Crusader Basketball Program will hold an informational meeting and camp registration at 5 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17 in the LHS Commons. The basketball camp is for girls in 2nd-8th grade. Practices will be held at LHS from 6-7:30 p.m. every Tuesday night beginning April 2 and ending Tuesday, July 23. KLC Football Coach to Speak at Potluck: Coach Chris Zablocki of the Kohler/Lutheran/Christian football team, will speak at Sheboygan Evangelical Free Church, 1710 N. 15th St., Sheboygan, on Thursday, Jan. 31. Zablocki teaches his players a Pyramid of Priorities: Faith, family, school/community, team, and self (in that order). He has received the Positive Coaching Alliance organization's Double Goal Coach Award, which combines coaching and mentoring. Teens and adults are invited to attend the potluck/program (6-8pm) or just the program (7-8pm). Contact the church at 920-452-6520 to sign-up.
