Inno4Sports places itself in the context of socio economic transformations in Europe that open up new dimensions for the capitalisation of sports ecosystems. At EU level the potentials of Sport Ecosystem have been recognised as drivers for innovation and growth, but at regional level they remain underdeveloped. Inno4Sports wants to tackle this issue and increase representation of the potentials created by sports innovation within RIS3 and Regional Development Programmes. Specific points to address have been identified by focusing on 4 thematic sub objectives: 1. The creation of opportunities for markets access. 2. The exploration of cross-over cooperation. 3. The development of harmonisation process with regional development programmes. 4. The creation of interlinkages with consumer needs and societal trends. EPSI - European Platform for Sport Innovation BELGIUM EPSI is a on for profit European association (ASBL) located in Brussels (Belgium). Membership-based networking organisation of Universities, Research Institutes, Clusters, Associations, Federations, Industries and SMEs focusing on innovation in the areas of physical activity, sport, leisure, health and many more. Following the Vision of Leading Sport Innovation Globally, EPSI is an active organisation that links the quadruple helix: Public Authorities, Consumers, industries and knowledge organisations in the area of sport and innovation. EPSI offers two macro fields of servicies: Lobbing and Fundraising. Good evidence of this can be found in its most recently achievements such as ClusSport Consortium as a Lobbing result and the many projects in which EPSI is engaged in. EPSI WE OFFER EPSI will be in charge of the Communication and will provide the right visibility to the progress of the project. Cluster Sports and Technology THE NETHERLANDS Cluster Sports & Technology is an open network where more than 100 companies, RTD organisations, SportFieldlabs (Living labs) and government representatives are coming together to create a vital sportive environment with economic and social impact. Cluster Sports & Technology is the ecosystem for sports innovation. We create varying collaborations in projects, seminars, workshops and matchmaking sessions for innovation in performance and vitality. Examples of current innovations projects are: Nano4Sports: application of new sensors in sports Vitality Living Lab: innovation for enhancing healthy activelifestyle Collective SME innovation projects Leader Cluster SPORT & TECHNOLOGY S&T will lead the project s overall management and coordinate the Knowledge Exchange transfer process. S&T has experience in channelling stakeholder interests into regional programs. S&T wishes to learn more on the positioning of sports/vitality in health agendas and instruments for collaboration (position of PPP in innovation and business creation in the sports/vitality agenda). IBV - Associatiòn Instituto de Biomecànica VERDE - Fundation for Innovative Sport Surface The Instituto de Biomecánica (IBV) is a technological centre that studies the behaviour of the human body and its interaction with products, environments and services. With the aim to improve competitiveness among the business sector, the IBV promotes people s well-being through the combination of knowledge in areas such as biomechanics, ergonomics and emotional engineering, and its application to diverse sectors. The activity of the IBV in sport goes back to its origins. In these more than 30 years, the IBV has become a centre of recognized prestige in the sector, both nationally and internationally, as endorsed by the numerous International Sports Federations accreditations. IBV is also part of the coordination team of the Research and Innovation Smart Specialization Strategy - Valencian Community (RIS3-CV), approved by the European Commission, and which guides the application of the structural funds that Europe grants to our Region in the field of research and innovation for the period 2014-2020. The VERDE FOUNDATION, based in the LODZKIE region in central Poland, is the coordinator of the Cluster Of Innovative Sport And Recreational Surfaces VERDE an organisation set up by innovative companies and institutions working in the area of sport surfaces. The main aim of the cluster is to establish a system for exchanging information and experiences aimed at establishing and developing the scientific and business 2. contacts as well as support in cooperation with the official institutions of the LODZKIE region. As sport infrastructure is the main environment of activity for all cluster members, VERDE is focused on networking and R&D activity support for the cluster stakeholders. The main industry members are whether innovative sport surfaces producers or installers. IVACE - Valencian Institute of Business Competitiveness University of Debrecen Institute of Sport Science IVACE, is a public legal entity financed by the Ministry of Regional Economy. As a regional development agency IVACE determines the policies for industrial innovation and is also in charge of the RIS3. IVACE manages four annual calls related to the OP: R&D for SMES, innovation for SMES, R&D for cooperation among technological centres and one for new technological companies. It manages the industrial policy of the Regional Government, aid lines and incentives to foster and internationalize SMEs, mainly by promoting R&D. IVACE is the Regional Development Agency of the Valencian Government. IVACE will ensure inclusion of the sport sector in the Valencian RIS3 by setting up a Sports Lab. IVACE IVACE intends to bring the sport sector high on the agenda of local, political and administrative support. IVACE intends to benchmark best practice in the other participating regions while sharing its own policy making in support of the sport sector To improve the OP by learning from transnational partners and local stakeholders. To benefit from the knowledge sharing process to enhance the innovative eco-systems and cluster activities related to sports. The Institute of Sport Sciences has been established on September 1st, 2015 as a regional sports R+D hub with it s declared mission to be involved in and foster the development of all activities and projects related to sports, physical activity and physical education. This institute of higher learning responsible for the launching of UD s P.E. teacher s programmes from the academic year of 2017 is now equipped with all required resources, including the wide range of contemporary facilities, human capital and owns the unparalleled support of the City of Debrecen too. The Institute for Sports Sciences main tasks in the project is to develop a common template for Methodology for Regional State of Affairs and to prepare the Menu of Good Practices collected from all the partners. The Institute helps MSE Cluster Ltd. to organize the First Thematic Launch and the 2nd partner meeting in Debrecen. University of Debrecen The University of Debrecen offers the experience on how physical education can be linked with R&D activities in a University. FINLAND The Regional Council of Lapland is the Authority of regional development strategies, programmes, actions and the S3 strategy development and implementation. The Regional Council of Lapland leads the S3P-Industry Thematic Partnership ClusSport together with Southern Netherlands and 9 other partners. The partnership has an objective to strengthen the sport industries at the EU level. In the project Regional Council of Lapland is responsible of leading the work on the thematic objective in harmonising the relevant policy instruments linked to regional development. The cluster, as a Member of EPSI, boosts the cooperation of the public sphere as well as state institutions (universities) and SMEs in R&D and technology development for sports and health. MSE Cluster Ltd also fosters the performance of the created innovation eco-system by nursing innovation transfer from the idea to the product, which helps to maximize the benefits for all. MSE Cluster Ltd. s main task in the project to organize the Thematic Launching Event and Open Conference, as well as the 2nd partner meeting, and developing the menu of collected GPs.
