Official Notice This is the official call of the 115 th ANNUAL CONVENTION OF THE TEXAS STATE COUNCIL KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS to be held April 26-28, 2019 in Corpus Christi, Texas. The American Bank Convention Center, located at 1901 North Shoreline Blvd will host all state convention activities except the Friday evening Family Night, the Saturday Ladies Luncheon and Sunday Ladies Breakfast. The Ladies functions will take place at the Omni Bayfront Hotel which will serve as the convention headquarters hotel. Additional housing arrangements have been made at the Holiday Inn Marina Hotel. All forms for Texas State Council and Corpus Christi State Convention Committee activities are included in this State Convention Forms booklet. Feel free to make as many copies of these forms as necessary. Please mail these forms according to the instructions on each form. Note that some forms are submitted to the Texas State Council and some to the host committee chairs. Every form in this booklet plus additional information is available online on the Texas State Council website www.tkofc.org Delegates Certification Form (Please register online) Financial Secretaries need to file the Delegates Certification Form with the State Office by Monday, April 1, 2019. The Delegate Certification form will be available online for the Financial Secretary to submit. Please refer to the back side of the certification form for delegate and alternate requirements and responsibilities. Please print clearly or type all requested information of your elected delegates and alternates. The Grand Knight and Financial Secretary must sign the form. A properly completed and signed Delegates Certification Form will be required before delegates can be seated. Banquet Reservation Form (Please register online) Register online and pay by credit card for your Registration fee, Clergy Luncheon and State Banquet Tickets. Deadline for ordering tickets for the Clergy Luncheon and State Banquet is Monday, April 1, 2019. The registration fee is to help cover State Convention expenses. In appreciation, you will receive a special convention commemorative gift from the State Deputy for each Registration Fee. If you prefer to pay by check complete the Banquet Reservation Form and mail it to the State Office address on the form. To Register online go to www.tkofc.org. On the right side of the home page click on the Convention 2019 icon. The convention invitation letter from State Deputy Mark Evans will display. Directly below the letter, select the appropriate title - either for District Deputies, Delegates and Alternates, other council members and guests, or for State Officers, PSD s, Major Directors, Committeemen, Diocesan Deputies, Assistant Diocesan Deputies, General Agents and Fourth Degree Masters. Click on the one that pertains to your title and register for the convention. On the next page you will enter the number of tickets you want for each function then enter your credit card information. Please be sure to enter your Council number. Once you have paid, you will receive a confirmation email. Hotel Reservations Follow the instructions on the Hotel Reservation Information page of this booklet when making your room reservations. Reservations must be made by Monday, April 1 st to insure the discounted group rates. Rooms and room preferences are available on a first-come first-serve basis. Hotel Parking The hotel offers self-parking, for $12.00/day plus tax for all registered guests staying at the hotel during the dates of the convention. Valet parking is available for $25.00 plus tax per day. American Bank Convention Center Parking Parking at the convention center s parking lot is $6 per day which includes in-and-out privileges. A weekend parking pass will be available for $15 Friday only. Transportation Shuttle buses run continuously from the Omni Bayfront to the American Bank Center according to the schedule below: Friday, April 29 th from 9:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. Saturday, April 30 th from 7: 00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m. Sunday May 1 st from 7:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

Friday, April 26, 2019 Fishers of Men Fishing Tournament kicks off the 2019 convention at 7:00 am. Kayaks, gear, bait and tackle provided. The Golf Tournament kicks off with an 8:00 am shotgun start. Convention registration opens at 9:00 a.m. in the Henry Garrett Ballroom Pre-function area on the second floor of the American Bank Convention Center. Registration continues until 4:30 p.m. The Clergy Seminar begins at 10:00 a.m. and the Clergy Luncheon is scheduled for noon. Invite and encourage your Council Chaplain to attend the seminar. Order their clergy luncheon tickets online at www.tkofc.org and accompany them to the clergy luncheon. The Awards Presentation Ceremony begins at 3:00 p.m. Exemplary councils and districts in membership, charities and service programs will be recognized. Make plans to attend. Your council may receive an award, your district may receive an award and you may receive an award. The Opening Convention Mass begins at 5:00 p.m. in the Henry Garrett Ballroom located on the second floor of the American Bank Convention Center. Family Night Join us for an evening at the Aquarium! More information on this event is found on the information page in this booklet. Saturday, April 30, 2016 Convention Registration will open from 7:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. in the Pre-function area of the Henry Garret Ballroom. The State Deputy s report will follow at 9:00 a.m. in the Henry Garret Ballroom. The Convention Business Session will begin at 9:30 a.m., recess at 11:30 a.m. for lunch and reconvene at 1:00 p.m. The Ladies Luncheon Program will begin at 11:30 a.m. in the Nueces Ballroom located on the 3 rd floor of the Omni Bayfront Hotel. Purchase tickets online at www.tkofc.org. Caucus Meetings begin at 2:55 p.m. or earlier depending on the duration of the Convention Business Session. The purpose of the Caucus Meeting is to nominate the Supreme Convention Delegates. Roll call of delegates will be taken. The Memorial Mass is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. in the Henry Garrett Ballroom. The Convention Banquet will be at 7:00 p.m. in Exhibit Hall B on the first floor of the American Bank Convention Center. The doors will open at 6:45 p.m. Sunday, May 1, 2016 Sunday morning begins with a rosary at 8:30 a.m. in the Henry Garrett Ballroom. The Sunday Business Session follows at 9:00 a.m. until the convention adjourns at noon. The Ladies Breakfast is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. in the Nueces Ballroom located on the 3 rd floor of the hotel. Order tickets online at www.tkofc.org. Note to the Financial Secretary Inform your delegates and alternates that they will be required to present a current third degree membership card before registering as delegates. Your council must be in good standing with both Supreme Council and Texas State Council. Your supreme and state per capita must be paid in full. Delegates from councils not in good standing with Supreme Council or Texas State Council cannot be seated as voting delegates.

According to the By-laws of the Texas State Council as set forth in Article II, Section 4 and Article V, Section 8, members defined in these two sections shall receive, in lieu of all expenses, mileage one way at the rate of fifteen (15) cents per mile from the location of the individual s council residence to the place of meeting and reimbursement of their Saturday State Banquet ticket provided banquet ticket was pre-ordered. Important Note: Delegates must meet the requirements of Section 12 (a) and (e) of the Laws Governing our Order, and as further ratified by Article II, Section 4 and Article V, Section 8 of the By-laws of the Texas State Council. Only the current Grand Knight s name should appear on the line provided for the First Delegate. The Grand Knight is always the First Delegate. Only two delegates and/or alternates will be seated as voting delegates for each council. IMPORTANT: Please complete the Delegates Certification Form in full. It is very important to include the membership number, name, full address, email address and phone number for each elected delegate and alternate. Instruct all State Convention delegates, alternates and other attendees that a current membership card in the third degree is required for admittance to the business sessions of the State Convention. Reminder to Voting Delegates: Article VI, Section 8: Order of Business Note that the election of Supreme Convention Delegates and Alternates is listed in the Order of Business. The nomination process begins with the Caucus Breakout Sessions scheduled for 2:55 pm on Saturday. Delegates are required to attend their caucus meetings. Roll call will be taken. Article VI, Section 11: Leaving Meeting Members of the State Council shall not leave the business meetings portion of the convention without permission of the presiding officer. Violators of this section shall be subject to the forfeiture of all mileage and per diem. The State Deputy or the presiding officer may require a roll call at any time to determine that all delegates are present.

Standard Rooms $ 127.00 (single, double, triple, quad) Reservation Cutoff Date: Tuesday, April 9, 2019. Reservation requests received after the cut off date will be accepted on a space and rate available basis. How to make reservations: Make reservations by calling Central Reservations at 1-800-843-6664 and referring to the Knights of Columbus. Have the following information ready when calling: Type of credit card, credit card number and expiration date. Date and time of arrival as well as date of departure. Specify room type and make special requests. Reservations must be guaranteed by a valid credit card, which will be supplied at the time of reservation. All rooms must be reserved by the cutoff date of Tuesday, April 9, 2019 to insure the discounted group rate. Rooms are available on a first come first serve basis. Reservations must be confirmed with a first night s deposit, refundable up to 72 hours in advance of your arrival date. Major credit cards are acceptable to establish prepayment. All credit cards used to prepay will be charged immediately. When calling the hotel to make your room reservation, make sure to identify yourself as a member of the Knights of Columbus to obtain the discounted room rates. If you need to cancel your reservation, please contact the State Office so we can retain the room for our K of C convention block. Early Departure Fees: The hotel will add a $127 early checkout fee if the guest checks out prior to the guest s reserved checkout date. Guests wishing to avoid an early checkout fee should advise the hotel at or before check-in of any change in planned length of stay. Parking: The guest self-parking rate is $12.00 + tax per night. Parking is on a space available basis. Valet parking is available at a daily rate of $25.00 + tax per night.

115th TEXAS STATE CONVENTION CORPUS CHRISTI Dear Brother Knights, On behalf of the 115 th Annual State Convention Committee, we are honored to invite you to Corpus Christi for the 2019 Texas State Convention, April 26 April 28, 2019. This year s convention will be held at the American Bank Center with lodging at the Omni Bayfront Hotel and the Holiday Inn Marina Hotel. We hope to make this convention and weekend both informative and entertaining. The weekend kicks off Friday morning with two events Fisher of Men Fishing Tournament at Ingleside by the Bay Park at 7:00 AM and an 8:00 AM Golf Tournament at the Oso Golf Course in Corpus Christi. We look forward to your Council Chaplin, Pastor or Deacon attending the Clergy Luncheon that will take place at the American Bank Center. The Opening Mass will be celebrated at 5:00 PM at the American Bank Center with the Most Rev. Michael Mulvey, Bishop of Corpus Christi as the main Celebrant. The Evening will continue with the Friday Night Event at 7:00 PM at the Texas State Aquarium. Transportation to and from the Aquarium will be provided. Guests will be entertained by dolphins and you will have an opportunity to leisurely stroll through the Aquarium after dinner. Bring your children and enjoy all the wonders of the sea. The Ladies Events will begin with a Saturday luncheon at 11:30 AM at the Omni Bayfront Hotel, with a special program to be presented. There will be a break after lunch to do some sightseeing, shopping, or just relaxing by the pool. Following the 4:30 PM Memorial Mass is the Banquet, which will begin at 7:00 PM, at the American Bank Center. For your convenience, the host committee will provide transportation to and from the Omni Hotel and the American Bank Center in comfortable 55 passenger coaches. The Ladies Sunday breakfast will be at 9:30 AM in the Omni Bayfront Hotel and will be a time for the ladies to catch up on last minute visits before making their journey home. Please take this opportunity for you and your council to show support and pride by placing an ad in the 2019 Convention Advertising Program Book. Ad prices are shown in this booklet. The proceeds from the sale of ads help defray the overall cost of hosting the convention.
