The purpose of the Scholarship Program is to provide financial assistance to African American graduating seniors at area high schools. Interested persons are encouraged to submit an application packet, which can be found at www.dstslidell.org. All materials must be received by March 31, 2018. All applicants will be contacted via mail about award status. Recipients will be further contacted for interview time and location. Slidell Alumnae Chapter 2018 SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION PACKET Scholarship Eligibility Requirements Graduating African American Senior from a public school within St. Tammany Parish School System Plans to attend a college/university in the year of graduation Have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale Demonstrates leadership abilities Scholarship Guidelines The entire application must be legible. A complete application must be received by March 31, 2018. A complete application includes: o Scholarship Application (signed) o Letters of Recommendations (2) o Essay o Official Transcript that reflects your GPA Incomplete application packets will not be considered.
