Most of the month s schedule is self-explanatory, breakfast with Jorge Cuevas (should be great!), lunch at Tioga Downs (plenty of free play and a tasty lunch), the steering committee, as well as the other regular events. There are a couple more festivals during the first two weekends, before the weather changes. The movie and the play look great, one starring Robert Redford and the other a comic classic. One final event is the Harvest Moon Dance put on by the students at IC come support their efforts to provide a special event for Ithaca s seniors. One final date to keep an eye on is Collette s visit GIAC. Kevin, the Collette rep, will visit GIAC for two sessions; the first is for the nine members that will be going to San Antonio at the end of the month. The second hour will be a presentation on next year s trip, this time to New Orleans! Most of the refuge lies in the Town of Tyre, in the northeast corner of Seneca County. The Montezuma Marshes were designated a National Natural Landmark in May 1973; the citation notes that "A small, 100-acre area within the site is one of the best examples of undisturbed swamp woodlands in New York or New England.
