A few words about the Arab Hellenic Chamber of Commerce & Development The Arab-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce & Development is a non-profit organization and was established in 1979 with its Presidential Decree following in 1981. The Chamber located in Athens, with further entitlement to open offices in the Arab Countries The scope of the Chamber is to promote the economic relations especially in the fields of Commerce, Industry, Agriculture, Technology, Culture, Education, Tourism and Joint Investment between Greece and the Arab World. Legalization of all the documentation related to the Greek exports to the Arab markets as well as rendering services to members by undertaking, on their behalf, the whole legalization procedure saving them time and cost. Translation Department, provides high quality translation in all of the Greek, Arabic & English languages. Matchmaking & Networking B2B between Greek & Arab businessmen. Help Desk to promote exports & investments for both the Arabs & Greeks. Organization of various business events such as Business delegation,forums, Fairs & workshops in Greece and in the Arab Countries. A few words about SEV SEV s MISSION: At international level: to assist Greek companies in going global For the Arab region: to promote and support synergies between Greek companies and their counterparts in all Arab countries SEV has developed cooperation with several homologue Business Organizations from Arab countries in various occasions, has dispatched or co-organized business delegations and has signed several agreements of cooperation (MOU). SEV has been actively involved in the Euro-Mediterranean business dialogue, aiming to encourage Greek enterprises to explore the potential of the South Mediterranean markets and identify partners by focusing on match-making interests of companies and creating B2B relations. As a member of BUSINESSMED, the confederation of South Mediterranean enterprises, and a coordinator of the Mediterranean Network of BUSINESSEUROPE, the European Confederation of Enterprises, is engaged in the reinforcement of business ties between the EU and the southern Mediterranean countries for a long time. In 2009 SEV organized in Athens the major international event Bridging the Mediterranean: the Athens Business Forum with 500 participants from all Mediterranean business communities where 400 individual business meetings were held.
About the 3 rd Forum The Forum follows the series of 1 st and 2 nd Arab-Greek Economic Forum organized successfully in 2006 and 2008 by the Arab Hellenic Chamber of Commerce and Development. The main goal of the Forum is to: Reflect and debate on ways to boost the investment and trade partnerships between Greek and Arab enterprises Inform Greek firms about the business environment and economic prospects in the 22 Arab Countries and present actual concrete development projects Attract Arab investment funds to invest in Greece and in S.E. Europe to identify through Greek partners for investment Organize numerous individual business meetings which will enable Greek companies to meet potential partners from Arab countries, take stock on existing ventures and identify new opportunities
