Grad List How to ensure a grad is on the list: Currently taking the last required courses and credits (80 credits) Will complete all required courses and credits by the end of June Completed Grad Transition Passing all courses by June 1st Have met the requirement for a Fine Arts/Applied Skills course
STS Student Transcripts Service (STS) is an online application for students to view their school marks, transcripts, scholarships and send transcripts electronically to post secondary institutions and employers. Go to the Ministry of Education s Transcripts and Certificate website at http://www.studenttranscripts.gov.bc.ca.
Get Started To register for STS students will need to create a BCeID account. You need: Personal Education Number (PEN) Full legal name Date of birth Email address
Scholarships Scholarship and Award information is available here: http://www.sd22.bc.ca/school/seaton/stude nts/scholarships/ Local scholarship applications come out in March. See Mrs. Erickson. District Project Scholarship meetings are underway. See Mrs. Schmidt.
Grad Fees Grad Fees are $120.00 See Mrs. Jackson in the office to pay fees before May 1 st. Hardship support is available (See Mrs. Schmidt)

Grad Events October- May: Fundraising events coordinated by Super Grad parent committee and student Grad Council. First fundraiser: 80s/90s dance- Nov 15 Future Fundraisers: Cash raffles, bottle drive, grocery bagging, grad fashion show and raffle baskets, Grad student auction, etc. October June: Monthly Super Grad parent meetings at the school.
Grad Events December 18-21: Grad Photos. Set up time through Mountainwest photography online. May 1: Submit grad write ups for what is read when students cross the stage at grad. Early June: Cut off for Grad list. Students must be passing all required courses in order to participate in the Grad ceremonies, all fees must be paid. Super Grad Ticket distribution begins in June.
Grad Events Wednesday, June 19: Take and Shake (TAKE your gown, SHAKE staff hands) Grad BBQ, Gown Pick-up, Gown walk through Elementary/Seaton (TBD), Group Photo, Grad Rehearsal Thursday, June 20, 4:00pm: Grad Ceremony 3:15PM: All students arrive at Kal Tire Place. 4:00-6:30PM: Graduation Ceremony at Kal Tire Place (evening celebrations with family/friends)
Grad Events Saturday, June 22: Prom and Super Grad formal celebration organized by parent group students will provide feedback to the parent group who plan this all night dry grad event Students have suggested hosting this event at Seaton this year (banquet, dance, followed by Super Grad events) In the past families have visited Polson Park before for pictures of grads in their formal attire
Grad Organization What the school does: Grad ceremony, sponsors grad council, events for grads during the year, screening grad dates, security assistance, and ensure booking of venues.
What the parents/guardians do: Coordinate fundraising efforts Plan and put on the Prom/Super Grad celebration (food, security, entertainment, fundraising events, decorating, etc.) Host monthly Super Grad parent committee meetings. Roles: Chair, Co-chair, Treasurer, Secretary, and various sub-committees including: Fundraising, Food, Entertainment, Security, Decorating, etc.
Student Grad Council: participate in fundraisers (bottle drive, fashion show, grocery bagging, ticket sales, etc.) plans student grad events throughout the year
Expectations of Grads Unsanctioned grad events are not approved by the school and district. Grads could jeopardize their participation in school grad events if they make poor choices. Celebrate this huge accomplishment and make smart choices! Get involved in school based grad activities and fundraising!
To Do Tonight: Establish Chair and Co-Chair of parent group Establish Treasurer and Secretary Sign up for Sub Committees: Fundraising, Food, Entertainment, Security, Decorating Set monthly meeting time for Super Grad core parent group (typically one rep from each sub committee attends these).
