Conference Overview Gastrointestinal and hepatic disorders are extremely prevalent conditions which can lead to chronic morbidity. Advances in the field of gastroenterology and advanced endoscopy continue to develop at a rapid rate. These are exciting times in gastroenterology and hepatology given the therapeutic advances we are able to offer our patients. Having detailed knowledge of widely prevalent gastrointestinal conditions allows practitioners to develop a comprehensive treatment strategy for their patients. This conference is designed to provide an overview of common gastrointestinal conditions, focus on clinical advances in these situations, and showcase some of the most current advances in therapeutic endoscopy. Using both didactic sessions and live endoscopy feed s, the latest developments in the fields of gastroenterology, hepatology, and biologics in IBD will be showcased. Opportunities for the audience to interact with the faculty will be provided and encouraged. Intended Audience and Conference Objectives At the conclusion of this seminar, participants should be able to: Review advanced esophageal imaging techniques and clinical applications of HRM. Provide overview of GI conditions. Review clinical advances in the treatment options for GI conditions. Accreditation Physicians is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. designates this live activity for a maximum of 7.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. Nursing: Application will be submitted to the GNA. (Georgia Nursing Association) for GI specific nursing hours. This activity has been submitted to the Pennsylvania State Nurses Association for approval to award contact hours. The Pennsylvania State Nurses Association Approver Unit is accredited as an approver of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center s Commission on Accreditation. The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Credits from organizations accredited by the ACCME. The American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) accepts certificates of participation for educational activities certified for AMA PRA Category 1 Credits from organizations accredited by the ACCME. Physician assistants may receive a maximum of 7.5 hours of Category 1 credit for completing this program. A block of rooms has been reserved at Nemacolin Woodlands at the special conference rate of $189.00 + tax single/double occupancy for a lodge room and $239.00 + tax single/double for a chateau room. There is no additional charge for children seventeen (17) years of age and under when sharing the same room as the parents and using existing bedding.
