Each spring hundreds of mature adults 50+ anticipate the wait of the North Fulton Golden Games. This year celebrates the 17th Annual North Fulton Golden Games. Over the years, the games have been an avenue for hundreds of participants to continue or begin their competitive journey to a healthier lifestyle. We have shared a lot of great memories together, and we thank you for your interest and continued participation. This year we will be kicking the games off at Roswell Adult Recreation Center on May 4th for our big opening day celebration. On this day we will hold all of the field day events, including the mile walks, discus, shot put throws and more. We will have a variety of indoor events, including our second Wii video game bowling tournament and checkers. Other new events to take advantage of include: Scramble Golf Tournament at the Horseshoe Bend Country Club, Tennis Tournament at Sandy Springs Tennis Center, Diving Competition at Wills Park, Bunco at Newtown Park, and Softball Skill Challenge at Track and Field Day. We encourage you to come out to the Golden Games Dance, hosted by the Roswell Ramblers Dancing Stars, and either compete in or watch the dance competition. A band will be present at the time playing music. Entry into this dance is included in your registration fee, and includes the opportunity to watch a dance exhibition performed by Dance for Two Ballroom Theatre. If you have any questions or comments about the Golden Games, please do not hesitate to give us a call! Each year we strive to make the games bigger and better through your comments and suggestions. Please remember that the Golden Games Directors reserve the right to combine age groups in any event as necessary to provide more competition for our participants. Cancellation Policy: North Fulton Golden Games reserves the right to combine age groups or to cancel any event due to insufficient registration, inclement weather, and unusual or extenuating circumstances. We will, however, make every effort to reschedule events. Additional Information Purpose The North Fulton Golden Games provides adults fifty and older an opportunity to participate in a variety of sports competitions, meet new people, learn new leisure skills, and become more aware of recreational activities available to them. Age Age will be determined by the participant s age as of April 15th, 2011. Events will be divided into men s and women s divisions, and age groups where appropriate. Date of birth must be included on the application form. Registration and Fees A $12 registration fee must accompany the completed application form. Registration in the games also entitles you to a Golden Games t-shirt, cinch bag, water bottle, the dance, and the Awards lunch. No registration will be accepted after April 15th, 2011.
