Message from the DON All of us at Haven Home Health are looking forward to 2011!! We have experienced a growth surge in the past year thanks to the physicians, patients and family members who place their trust in us. Owner and Administrator, Brian Causey, and all the employees who keep Haven rolling, share the same philosophy of providing excellent care. It s exciting to be part of such a dynamic team at Haven Home Health. Stay tuned for more updates and news as we move into the new year! Sincerely, Ronda W. McKeithen R.N. Director of Nursing/Assistant Administrator What fun we had celebrating the holidays and Haven Home Health s 25th Anniversary at our Christmas party! Wende Bruce, RN, and Supervisor of the Monroe office, was a big winner in the door prize drawing. Maddie McKeithen and Daniel Comeaux were married on August 21. Maddie recently completed her Bachelor s degree in marketing at ULM and is employed by Fastenal in Dallas. Daniel attends Parker Chiropractic College in Dallas. Maddie is a former Haven employee and Ronda McKeithen s daughter. Congrats to Mrs. Maddie Comeaux! Thank You!!!!!!!!!! Carolyn Wells and her daughter Shannon May recently donated several pieces of medical equipment to Haven Home Health. NEWS FROM MONROE OFFICE Haven Home Health s Christine James, COTA, giving our sweet Ms. Nancy Harbuck a good workout while visiting her at Stoneybrook s Assisted Living facility in West Monroe H.T., Hard Times, the baby squirrel was found in a ditch by Kendra, one of our Haven RN s, as she was leaving a patient s house. Mr. O. C. Watson, our lab courier, came up with her name because she was down on her luck and lost from her family. She was only a few weeks old and had to be bottle fed and cared for around the clock. Kendra would bring her to work and then take her home at night to care for her. Soon Leslie took over her care completely. When H. T. was two months old, Leslie started leaving her at home during the day so she could stay outside and play in the trees as most squirrels do. When Leslie would get home, H.T. would be waiting for her. She would drink milk, eat pecans, and play a little while before going to bed. But then the dreaded day came. One day, Leslie came home and H.T. wasn t waiting. She found her a new family. Having a fun Haven Home Health T-shirt day at the medical offices of Drs. Dhaya and Narendra Kutnikar in Monroe. A Saint-sational New Year Haven Home Health was well represented at the last Saints regular season game of the year. Pictured (R to L)are Jennifer Causey, Marketing Director; her father, Robin Causey; and Inna, a family friend from Russia. This was Inna s first experience with American football and she s hooked!! NEWS FROM COLUMBIA OFFICE Diana Stapleton, a CNA for Columbia, and her son, Rowdy took their first trip by airplane to Florida for 7 fun filled days at Walt Disney World. Diana loved meeting all of the Disney characters and riding all of the rides. But if you ask Rowdy what he liked the best, he ll tell you that it was having his mom all to himself. We lost a dear member of our Haven family recently, Frances Boyd. Frances was our friend and a long-term employee of Haven Home Health. Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to her family and her patients. Frances spent her life taking care of others and putting their needs before hers. What we lost when Frances passed away is what heaven gained. NEWS FROM URANIA OFFICE Debbie Allen, an RN for Columbia, and her family made a trip to the New Orleans Super Dome to watch her grandson, Austin Allen play for district champions, Ouachita Christian School, in the state high school football championships. Even though they lost the game, there was no greater reward for their hard work. Debbie and her family spent the weekend in New Orleans seeing the sights and enjoying the great food.
