Education Society was started in 1992. Today GGI is a group of 12 institutes having more than 4000 students with a reputed band of more than 400 faculty members. The GGI is emerging as a recognized group, consisting of high level institute and spreading its wing around the country for imparting quality education to the young skilled minds and to inculcate in them moral and ethical values. GEETA INSTITUTE OF LAW Geeta Institute of law was established in 2007 under the aegis of K.R. Education Society to achieve world-class education in the country. We endeavor to prepare a myriad of young professionals equipped with a true conviction in order to serve the society as a whole. The Institute emerged as the education quality creator and became a bench mark in the field of providing legal education.
SEMINAR BACKGROUND Environmental law is a collective term describing international treaties, statutes, regulations, and common law or national legislation that operates to regulate the interaction of humanity and the natural environment, toward the purpose of reducing the impacts of human activity. We use the term environment to describe, the Plant's life - support system for us and for all other forms of life. In effect, the environment is the sum-total of solar capital and earth capital. It also includes the thing created by humans. Environment now extends far beyond the bounds of the local environment, thus it is the intimate enclosure of the individual or a local human population and the global domain of the human species. Ecology as a discipline is focused on studying the interactions between an organism of some kind and its environment. No doubt, development is the need of time but not at the cost of human survival. The environmental needs, protection, and its degradation is correlated with development. Development becomes meaningless if human survival becomes tough on earth. The National Seminar on Environment and Ecology: Contemporary Issues, Challenges and Future Perspective is being organised to focus attention on the new emerging issues relating to environment and how to tackle them. SESSIONS Session I: Environment & Human Rights Issues Session II: Sustainable Development Session III: Environmental policies, laws and legislations; Session IV: Public Interest Litigation and Environmental Law Session V: Role of NGO S/ Media to Protect Environment; SUBMISSION GUIDELINES: ABSTRACT: The abstract should not exceed 300 words and must be accompanied by a cover page stating the following:- Sub-theme Title of the Paper
Name of the author(s) E-mail address Postal address and Contact Number FULL RESEARCH PAPER: The paper should not exceed 4000 words (exclusive of footnotes) Co-authorship is permitted with a maximum of two authors only. In case of co-authorship at least one author must attend the seminar to present the paper. In case a student is presenting the paper of the faculty members shall be allowed only if they have co-authored the paper. The main text should be in Times New Roman with font size 12 and spacing of 1.5. The footnotes should be in Times New Roman, font size 10 with single spacing. One inch margins on all sides should be maintained. Citation style: Blue Book. The paper must be accompanied with the scanned copies of the filled in Registration form, DD details, cover page, the details of which are mentioned in the abstract guidelines. All submissions must be the author s original and unpublished work. Plagiarized submissions will be disqualified. The peer reviewed selected papers will be published in the Institute s Journal (Journal Of Global Research & Analysis ISSN No. 2278-6775) All the delegates are requested to bring one hard copy of the original Full Paper and ID Proof along with them. Three best paper presentations shall be awarded. Certificate of participation shall be given to all participants. ACCOMMODATION Accommodation may be arranged in local hotels on actual payment basis. However, request in this regard shall be made earlier. PAYMENT DETAILS The Demand Draft is to be drawn in favour of Geeta Institute of law, Panipat payable at Samalkha.
