The evaluation form consists of two parts: in the 1 st part, the experts have to answer 2 specific questions (about the quality of the applicant and the quality of the project) and in the 2 nd part, the experts have to give their overall assessment on the proposal. Experts are kindly requested to provide a score for each of the 2 questions. In order to justify the score, the corresponding comment field should be filled in properly. The global score and the ranking should reflect the overall impression on the application. The overall comments should reflect the scores, and state clearly what the strengths and/or the weaknesses of the proposal are. This part should also contain recommendations for improvement of the project. If no host institution is mentioned you must remember that it is not a criterion (we will help the laureates to find a host institute). The comments might be used in the final evaluation report sent to the principal investigator and thus should be written in the English language. You have to indicate if this candidate must be interviewed. Scoring scale: A+ excellent (top 5%), A good (top 20%), B acceptable, C inadequate ATIP-Avenir program Guideline panel members 5
