Defense Strategies Institute professional educational forum: ~Enhancing Lethality for Close Combat Warfighters~ November 27-28, 2018 Mary M. Gates Learning Center, Alexandria, VA

The Warfighter Systems Summit is designed to support Department of Defense efforts to maximize the lethality of US close combat warfighters. The agenda addresses recent DoD policies aimed at replacing legacy warfighter capabilities with enhanced technology to create a more effective, lethal and safe close combat force. Speakers from the Army, Marines and Special Forces will discuss the most pressing capability gaps and their current and future initiatives aimed at ensuring the US maintains a decisive overmatch at the soldier and ground level. Program Design & Goal: Speakers, representing the end users, developers and acquisition specialists, will share their perspectives on the need for innovative and modern weapons, sensors, gear, and training solutions. For example, the agenda will examine the development of key advancements in areas such as night vision, tactical connectivity, and weapons systems such as the Next Generation Squad Weapon. Lastly, the event will convene a panel on the use of advanced materials in combat and tactical gear. DSI s team specializes in the extensive research and development of our Summits' content and focus areas; we will assemble the most respected minds in human and technical analysis from key military and civilian offices. Our non-partisan approach allows us to reach across all services and organizations to bring together a truly holistic group of decision makers and solution providers. How Will You Benefit: Hear from DoD and Industry on initiatives to modernize US close combat warfighter capabilities Understand how technological advancements are creating solutions to rapidly evolving threats Learn about what capabilities are needed by our nation s warfighters, and how you can support initiatives from key organizations Network and dialogue with your colleagues and leaders from industry DSI s Summit directly supports DoD priorities by providing a conduit for officials to efficiently reach audiences outside of their respective offices that directly impact their department's mission success, at no charge to the government, and in an efficient expenditure of time. Operating Guidelines: DSI s Summit will provide a forum to address and improve internal and external initiatives, meet with and hear from partner organizations, disseminate vital capability requirements to industry, increase visibility within the larger community, and generally support their mission. The Summit is open and complimentary to all DoD and Federal employees and is considered an educational training forum, a widely attended gathering. (Industry and academia members are charged a fee for admission) General Target Audience: Summit is CLOSED TO PRESS / NO RECORDINGS U.S Military Services, Government Agencies, Academia, and U.S. Technology Solution Providers
