This frequency count reflects only skill levels 1/11 and excludes L. the common tasks and those sections which are redundant/incidental to vocabulary analysis (e.g. table of contents, appendices, references, charts, etc). Contents and General Information 1. The Word Frequency Analysis (WFA) reports were reproduced exactly as generated via computer printout. The prime users of this document were fully cognizant of its contents and required no special instructions for interpretation. However, for the sake of other readers, the following brief description of contents is provided. 2. The WFA reports for most MOS are divided as follows: o o Skill Level I Skill Level II However, due to the way some Soldier's Manuals are constructed, the WFA for some MOS have both Skill Levels merged into one report. Each Skill Level is subdivided into two sections. a. Alphabetic Rank: this section lists all terms in alphabetical order (left to right). To the left of each term is the frequency which that term appears in the text submitted for word frequency count. b. Frequency Rank: this section lists the same terms contained in the first section of the report but reranked in accordance with their frequency of appearance from highest to lowest. Also, the terms are ranked alphabetically within the same frequency level. 3. It should be noted that the basis of this WFA is the Soldier's Manual. Consequently, this vocabulary set is only a sampling of the entire MOS vocabulary and is subject to change. Avces!oior For DTiC T-B 0 u,,.smaunc ed,iic t Spocn i.nr... L. -- * I
