Named Solaris and designated for the research and development activities in the infocommunications, media, science and engineering industries, the 7,734 square metres site at Ayer Rajah Avenue/one-north Crescent was awarded to Soilbuild by JTC Corporation ( JTC ) under a Concept and Fixed-Price Tender just two months earlier, in April 2008. SB (Solaire) Investment Pte. Ltd., a subsidiary of Soilbuild Group Holdings Ltd, will be the single-purpose vehicle to undertake the development and leasing of the landmark business park facility. Today s groundbreaking ceremony is another milestone event for the Fusionopolis cluster. The estimated Gross Floor Area of 540,000 square feet will be designed to provide a wide range of differing, functional and flexible layouts for offices and research laboratories, as well as retail operations, while the thoroughfare plaza will serve as a venue for business and social interactivity. The estimated investment for this development is about S$148 million.
