He wanted to reach out to kids who were disinterested in church. Rayburn took the challenge to go where the kids were, meet them on their turf, and find a creative way to share the love of God with them. Young Life was incorporated in 1941. Rayburn s method of reaching out to adolescents worked then, and it continues to be effective today. Newt Crenshaw is Young Life s sixth president and has served since 2017. Annually, Young Life leaders make an impact on the lives of more than 2.1 million kids.
