CHRISTMAS CHOIR REHEARSALS All of the St. Aloysius choirs and music groups welcome new members to sing for the Christmas Liturgies. Special Rehearsals for Christmas will be held in the coming weeks: The combined Chorale and Renewal Singers will sing for the 11:00 p.m. Christmas Eve Mass. Rehearsal will be held from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Monday, December 22. The Youth Choir (Children in grades 4-8) will sing for the 6:30 p.m. Christmas Eve Mass. The Festival Ringers (our Bell choir) will play for the 4:00 p.m. Christmas Eve Mass in the Church. Rehearsals will be held on Monday December 22 from 6:00 until 7:30 p.m. The 5:30 Music Ministry will sing for the 4:00 p.m. Christmas Eve Mass in the Gym. Rehearsals are held each Thursday from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the Convent. However, as early as the fourth century representations of the nativity of the Lord were painted as wall decorations depicting not only the infancy narrative accounts of Christ s birth, but also the words of the prophets Isaiah and Habakkuk taken to mean that the Messiah would be born in the midst of animals in a manger. Blessing Prayer: God of every nation and people, from the very beginning of creation you have made manifest your love: when our need for a Savior was great you sent your Son to be born of the Virgin Mary.
