PRE-BAPTISMAL SESSIONS According to Canon Law, parents are asked to attend a Baptismal Session prior to their child s Baptism. We at St. Patrick s offer parents the opportunity to attend a Baptismal preparation session six times throughout the year. If you are expecting a child and anticipate Baptism, you are urged to attend a session as soon as possible. There is no need to wait until the child is born. Please call the parish office at 562-5396 to register and attend a session that is most convenient for you. ALL SESSIONS ARE HELD IN THE RECTORY BASEMENT, Immediately after the 10:30 a.m. Sunday Mass on the appointed date. The next Pre-Baptismal class will be held Sunday, May 15, after the 10:30 Mass in the rectory basement. You are most welcome & encouraged to attend the class while you are expecting, so the Baptism can be scheduled as soon as possible after the birth. Registration is required. Please call the parish office 217-5652-5396. SACRED HEART SCHOOL PRE-SCHOOL REGISTRATION FOR 2016-2017 Registration will be held on Thursday, April 21 from 8:30-12:00 and 1:00-3:30, and Friday, April 22 from 8:30-12:00 and 1:00-3:30. Please go to the parish office (562-5396) first to see Chrisy for tuition, then come to the school office (562-2425) and register with Teresa. Please bring the following to the school office if you have them, if not please bring by the first day of school: Copy of birth certificate, Physical, Copy of immunizations, and Copy of lead screening. If your child was in our Pre-School program last year, the school office already has these forms filed, and you do not need to bring them again. If you have any questions, please call Teresa at the school office 562-2425. LOAVES & FISHES FOOD PANTRY The Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry will be collecting food and nonperishable items EVERY Saturday and Sunday. Baskets will be left in the vestibule of the Church for your convenience. Please remember those who have very little. One canned good/item from each family one weekend a month can make a difference. Food Pantry is open on Mondays 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon and Fridays 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The next working day for volunteers from St. Patrick s Church is Friday, April 29. TEC (TEENS ENCOUNTER CHRIST) TEC is a Catholic retreat for high school students. The next TEC event TEC RECONNECT will take place on April 17 at St. Partick Parish in Pana, IL from 2-6 p.m. The event is open to those who have made TEC and those who are interested in TEC. THE RULES AND REGULATIONS WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED SO ANY GROUND DECORATIONS THAT ARE NOT REMOVED WILL BE DISCARDED. PILGRIMAGES TO THE HOLY LAND Our Special 10 Day Pilgrimage to the Holy Land will be offered over 5 different departure dates. We will be departing JFK Airport on 11/6/16; 12/5/16; 1/9/17; 2/6/17; and 3/6/17 at the all land and air inclusive costs of $2299.00 - $2249.00 in twin accommodations and depending on the date you choose. Air can be made available from your home City. We will be visiting Tel Aviv, Jaffa, Caesarea, Acre, Nazareth, Cana, Tiberius, Sea of Galilee, Tagba, Capernaum, Mt. Tickets are still available from the Parish Office, School Office, or any Sacred Heart School parent. The cost for a ticket is $50.00 each for a chance to win $25,000. MOSTACCIOLI DINNER St. Patrick s Mostaccioli Dinner will be held on Sunday, April 24 from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm. ALL YOU CAN EAT cost is Adults $8.00, K-12 years $5.00 and 3 & under free.
