Students need to obtain a total of 60 ECTS during their 1 st year of studies as follows: Area 1-26 ECTS Area 2-26 ECTS Optionals - 8 ECTS Before choosing your elective study-units, it is advisable that you check the timetable available at http://www.um.edu.mt/arts/notices/time-tables because if they clash with a compulsory study-unit you will not be able to take it. Please ensure that you do not register for more than 60 ECTS for the whole academic year and not more than 36 ECTS per semester.
