Message from 2015 Board Chair It is amazing that a year has already passed since I became Board Chair. It has been a wonderful year as the Chamber celebrated our 25th anniversary. Our year started with our annual Ag is Everyone s Business event and concluded with one of the best attended golf outings the Chamber has ever hosted. Although the Chamber is 25 years old, we did not continue business as usual and experienced a few firsts. The first ever Highland County Economic Summit was hosted by the Chamber and was one of the events conceived from our 2014 General Board s strategic planning session. The goal of this summit was to gather community leaders and communicate in a common forum active initiatives and how together we can strengthen economic development in Highland County. This was a very successfully gathering and in early 2016 a second summit is being planned. Also, we held a Greenfield Business after Hours with several businesses which happened to be an amazing event with live music, delicious food, fellowship, drink, perfect weather and many nice door prizes. I want to thank all of the Board Members and businesses that have given their time and resources to continue to make the Highland County Chamber of Commerce a relevant part of the economic development of our community. I will be turning this position over to Lynn Stevens of Stevens Hardware in Greenfield. Lynn has many years of managerial and business experience and will be an excellent Board Chair. David Fauber We wish you and your family a very happy holiday season!
