Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC) manages the Fisher House as part of its mission to support the Fleet, Fighter and Family. Programs like the Fisher House ensure the men and women of the armed forces and their families are supported on all fronts - allowing the fighting force to focus on mission accomplishment. Bethesda Fisher Houses Bethesda Maryland: Located at NSA Bethesda Home of Walter Reed National Military Medical Center Largest complex in DoD with 5 houses with 73 rooms. Fisher House 1 constructed in 1990 and opened 1991. House 2 opened in 1994 Houses 3,4 & 5 in 2010. The Fisher Houses on NSA Bethesda offers 73 private rooms, 62 of which are ADA-compliant suites. Total maximum guest accommodations of 257. The NSA Bethesda Fisher Houses support the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, which is the Navy s third largest health care facility, providing more than 12,500 ambulatory surgeries and 8,000 inpatient admissions each year. Camp Lejeune Fisher Houses Camp Lejeune North Carolina: First house on a Marine Installation. Constructed in 2010 with 12 rooms. The house can provide lodging for up to 48 family members. The Camp Lejeune Fisher House is within walking distance of the Wounded Warrior Complex and Naval Hospital Camp Lejeune. The complex includes the Warrior Battalion-East Headquarters, Warrior Hope and Care Center, Warrior Battalion-East Bachelor Enlisted Quarters, and the Satellite National Intrepid Center of Excellence. The Camp Lejeune Fisher House supports Naval Hospital Camp Lejeune, which provides medical care for more than 75,000 active-duty and retired Marines, Sailors and Coast Guardsmen, as well as their families. The Naval Hospital includes the main hospital and five branch clinics located on Camp Lejeune and Air Station New River. FY17 Overall Occupancy - 35% Year to Date Occupancy - 38% 4
Camp Pendleton Fisher Houses Camp Pendleton California: House constructed 2015 with 7 rooms. Total maximum guest accommodations 22. The Camp Pendleton Fisher House sits atop a hillside, allowing for a peaceful, beautiful view. This house supports the Naval Hospital at Camp Pendleton. The hospital serves more than 70,000 active duty and veteran members of the military and their families. The House also supports the newly opened National Intrepid Center of Excellence satellite facility, which serves patients with mild traumatic brain injuries. Portsmouth Fisher Houses Portsmouth Virginia: Constructed in 1995 with 7 rooms. The house can comfortably accommodate 30 guests. The Portsmouth Fisher House is located at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth. Naval Medical Center Portsmouth is the Navy s oldest operating hospital. This state-of-the-art medical center delivers health care to more than 400,000 active-duty military personnel, family members and retirees in the Hampton Roads area (including the cities of Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Portsmouth, Chesapeake, Suffolk, Hampton, and Newport News). The region is homeport to about 186 ships, 1,300 aircraft and 118,000 Sailors and Marines assigned to the Atlantic Fleet. San Diego Fisher Houses San Diego California: House 1 constructed in 1992 with 9 rooms. House 2 constructed in 2008 with 9 rooms. Located on the grounds of Naval Medical Center San Diego, the two San Diego The San Diego Fisher Houses can accommodate up to 60 family members. Naval Medical Center San Diego is the largest and most technologically advanced military medical facility in the world. More than 250,000 San Diego residents are eligible for care at the Medical Center, with nearly 100,000 beneficiaries enrolled. Its staff is comprised of more than 6,500 military,civilian, contractor and volunteer personnel. Medical Center San Diego has the only Navy Medicine amputee center in the western Pacific, and has been recognized for many of its clinical and research programs, including refractive surgery, posttraumatic stress, and hearing and balance disorders.
