OFFICE OF THE MISSION DIRECTOR NATIONAL RURAL HEALTH MISSION HIMACHAL PRADESH, SHIMLA-171009 Website : www.hphealth.nic.in No. HFW-H(FW-NRHM)2008-Vol-III Dated Shimla-171009 Expression of Interest Himachal Pradesh invites Expression of Interest from eligible private Health Institutions, Rogi Kalyan Samitis of Zonal Hospital/ District Hospital/ Medical Colleges and NGOs located in Himachal Pradesh to hold Multi- Specialty Surgical Camps in various parts of Himachal Pradesh. The camps will focus on General Surgeries (Elective and Emergency), OBG Surgeries (Elective, Emergency and MTP), Family Planning (Sterilization) operations, Eye Surgeries and ANC checkup. Financial support of 5.75 lacs per camp for tribal areas and 5.25 lacs per camp for non-tribal areas will be provided to conduct camps. Each camp will be of 7 day s duration and minimum of 50 Major surgeries will have to be performed. Interested parties can apply with the details about their organization profile including Human Resource, description, experience and ability to hold these camps. Expression of Interest must be submitted to the NRHM by 26.4.2012 in a sealed covered clearly mentioning EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR Multi-Specialty Surgical Camps under NRHM on the envelope. The detailed Expression of Interest, formats for submission of proposal can be downloaded from www.hphealth.nic.in or collected from the Office of the Himachal Pradesh on any working day from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm before the last date. The proposals will be evaluated on 27.4.2012 at 3.00 pm in the Conference Hall of the Directorate of Health, Kasumpti, Shimla in the presence of authorized representatives of the applicants. No. HFW-H(FW-NRHM)2008-Vol-III OFFICE OF THE MISSION DIRECTOR NATIONAL RURAL HEALTH MISSION HIMACHAL PRADESH, SHIMLA-171009 EXPRESSION OF INTEREST National Rural Health Mission plans to organize Multi-Specialty Surgical Camps in rural/ tribal areas of the State in Himachal Pradesh. The camps will provide the following services :- General Surgeries (Elective & Emergency), OBG Surgeries (Elective, Emergency and MTP), Family Planning (Sterilization) operations, Eye Surgeries and ANC checkup. The tentative list of locations where camps are proposed to be held in 2012-13 is annexed at Annexure 1. Financial assistance :- 3.1. Financial assistance to party (Private Health Institution/ Rogi Kalyan Samiti/ NGOs) for holding the camp @ 5.75 lacs for tribal area and @ 5.25 lacs for non-tribal area. 3.2. Financial assistance @ 25,000/- to the Rogi Kalyan Samiti of the Health institution where camp is held to meet the expenditure of inaugural function and institutional expenses. 4. Duration of each camp will be of seven days with 1 st day as pre-operative / screening day, 2 nd to 5 th day as operative days and 6 th and 7 th day as non-operative and patient care days. 5. Health department will provide the following assistance:- 5.1. Physical Facilities:- OPD, OT, labour room, wards, beds and labs etc. 5.2. Diagnostics:- Routine and Bio-chemical tests, ECG, Ultra-sonography & X-ray etc. 5.3. Manpower: Medical Officers, paramedics and other support staff to assist in the pre-operative and post operative period only. Their requirement is to be decided in consultation with the concerned Medical Officer in-charge and Block Medical Officer. 5.4. Diet to the patients. 6. The Institution holding the Multi-Specialty Surgical camp shall provide the following Services:- 6.1. Pre-camp IEC activities. 6.2. All specialists/ Medical Officers (General Surgeons, OBG Specialists, Eye Surgeons, Anesthetists and Radiologist) and Para-Medics (OT Assistant, Staff Nurse for OT and Ophthalmic Assistant).

6.3. All medicines and consumable required for the purpose of camp during preoperative, operative and post-operative period including Life Saving Drugs, I/V Fluids, Anti-biotics and all other medicines & Anesthetic Injections, Oxygen and Nitrous Oxide etc. 6.4. Equipment Cautery Machine, Major Operating instruments for the above stated surgeries. 7. Expected output :- 7.1 Pre-operative care 7.2 Minimum fifty major surgeries per camp with the following breakup 7.2.1. Minimum 20 major General Surgeries 7.2.2. Minimum 20 major OBG Surgeries 7.2.3. Minimum 10 Eye Surgeries 7.3 Post operative care till the concluding of the Multi-Specialty Surgical Camp. 8. Experience: - Organization/ institution with previous experience in holding/ conducting such camps will get preference. 9. Logistics :- The boarding and lodging arrangements for the team members shall be the responsibility of the said organization/ Institution. However, department will help to get accommodation in H.P. Govt. rest houses if available. 10. Transport :- The eligible organization/ institution would make their own to & fro transport arrangement. Interested Parties must apply with the following information :- Organization / Institution Profile. Organization/ Institution Human Resource Profile specifying each individual s qualification, experience and registration with respective councils of the Himachal Pradesh. Experience to hold Multi-Specialty Surgical Camps. Total Assets Location wise preference & number to hold Multi Specialty Surgical Camps. In case more than one organization is short listed the decision will be taken after discussion with eligible organizations.
