A Public Special Meeting of the Receiver of the Chester Upland School District was held this evening at the Administration Building of the Chester Upland School District located at 1720 Melrose Avenue, Chester, Pennsylvania. Executive Staff Present: Solicitor: Mr. Joseph Watkins, Receiver Mr. Gregory Shannon, Superintendent Ms. Andria Saia, Assistant Superintendent Ms. Claudia Averette, Chief of Staff Leo A. Hackett, Esquire (absent) The Receiver s meeting opened with a call to order by Receiver, Joseph Watkins and the Pledge of Allegiance led by Andria Saia, Assistant Superintendent. Page 8 of 8 Delores Shelton - voiced her concern about the heating problems at the High School Joseph Watkins - responded. Someone (did not identify himself) - voiced his concern about the Saturday school when kids can t go to school Monday thru Friday due to the weather and broken heating and we are paying extra for Saturday School. Joseph Watkins - responded Dennis Martinelli - commended the teachers and administration on the excellent job being done during this time of snow and cold days. Mr. Shannon publicly thanked Mr. John Shelton, President of the Teacher s Union and Mr. Walker, teacher, and Executive Board on being able to work together during this difficult time of snow and cold days.
