Special Forces Brotherhood Motorcycle Club 1156 Gupton Ln, Clarksville, TN 37040 931-338-2332 Website: http: www.sfbmcky.org Email: sfbmc.ky@gmail.com Dear Sponsor Coordinator, The Special Forces Brotherhood Motorcycle Club (SFBMC), a non profit organization, is comprised of active duty and retired United States Army Special Forces Soldiers. We support the Green Beret Foundation and the Special Forces Association. These organizations in turn support our soldiers and their families in various ways. For example, they provide assistance to soldiers returning home with injuries, helping families cope with the loss of their soldier, furnishing scholarship funds, and assisting with emergencies that may arise while a soldier is deployed. The SFBMC coordinates events to assist these organizations in raising funds to continue providing help for our service members and their families. The SFBMC is dedicated to giving back to the military community, which we have spent a lifetime in, and that continuously supports our troops. We are wanting you to become one of our sponsors for our upcoming event. As a sponsor you will receive positive media attention from your association with the SFBMC, a 501(c) (3) non profit organization. Our EIN is 47-2885812. In addition, members and guests, from all across the United States will carry your name back home with them and remember the good that you do for our military community. History of the Gold Star The term Gold Star family is a modern reference that comes from the Service Flag. These flags/banners were first flown by families during World War I. The flag included a blue star for every immediate family member serving in the armed forces of the United States, during any period of war or hostilities in which the armed forces of the United States were engaged. If that loved one died, the blue star was replaced by a gold star. This allowed members of the community to know the price that the family had paid in the cause of freedom http://www.army.mil/goldstar/
The Special Forces Association The Task Force Dagger Foundation The Foundations The Special Forces Association is a non-profit 501(c)(19) Veteran Service Organization with over 9,700 active members and 85 Chapters located throughout the United States and eight Countries around the world. One of the primary missions is to promote and support the general welfare of the Special Forces community, which is accomplished through three funds: The Emergency Relief Fund that provides immediate financial assistance to eligible members, their spouses, children, and grand-children in times of natural and unexpected disasters, the Scholarship Fund, an annual education assistance program providing education scholarships based on merit to children and grandchildren of SFA members; and The Patriot Fund. established in 2007, provides support and assistance to the JFK Special Warfare Center and School, The Special Forces Command, and seven Special Forces Groups and Their families primarily through the Family Readiness Groups and the US Special Operations Command Care Coalition. www.specialforcesassociation.com The Task Force Dagger Foundation was established in July of 2009 and is a federally recognized 501(c) (3) non profit foundation. The Foundation assists US Special Operations Command (SOCOM) service members and their families when a valid need is identified. Needs are verified two ways: one, through the unit command; two, through the US SOCOM Care Coalition. The Task Force Dagger Foundation responds to needs that are verified as quickly as possible. The Foundation keeps in contact with the unit command organization and the SOCOM Care Coalition to ensure that the funds were received and that no further assistance is needed. Please consider a financial donation that will go toward helping the brave soldiers of our country. Our Mission: Task Force Dagger Foundation is a United States Army Special Operations Command based organization dedicated to providing assistance to all wounded, ill, or injured members and their families and the families of casualties of the U.S. Special Operations Command. www.taskforcedagger.org/index.htm
Green Beret Foundation The Charities Green Beret Foundation provides unconventional resources to facilitate the special needs of our wounded, and provide unique support to the Special Forces Community in order to strengthen readiness and uphold Green Beret traditions and values. www.greenberetfoundation.org Gold Star Families The Green Beret Foundation considers our own Gold Star Families to be one of the most important groups in our community. We have a duty to remain in close contact with those who have lost a Green Beret. Our Gold Star support includes: payment of funeral costs not covered by the military, continuous engagement with the families to identify gaps in resources, maintaining a close connection with the families, and ultimately fostering a lifelong bond to build a stronger Green Beret Family. The Special Forces Scholarship Fund The Special Forces Scholarship Fund (SFSF) will recognize the service of Green Beret families by awarding merit-based post secondary educational scholarships to the daughters and sons of current and veteran Special Forces Soldiers. The SF Scholarship Fund provides, for the first time in the 59 year history of the Green Berets, a merit-based scholarship opportunity for the children of Army Special Forces. This is the only fund whose sole purpose is to provide scholarships to children of Green Berets. www.sfscholarshipfund.org
Dear Potential Musical Contributors, I am sending this letter based on your interest in supporting the SF Annual Fund Raising concert event for the SF Casualty fund on May 20, 2016. Your willingness to support this effort is greatly appreciated and will go a long way towards providing help to any number of our Families during times of loss or struggle. I have served within the Special Forces community for over the past 20 years and can think of no greater group of Soldiers and Families to have spent the majority of my adult life serving alongside of. This is a very proud and close knit group of men and women. Rarely will you ever see any of them ask for help regardless of how warranted or needed it may be. But at the same time, most will give you the shirt off their back to help others if it can make a small difference. The Special Forces motto is "De Oppresso Liber", which means "To Free the Oppressed", which means nothing more than to strive to help those less fortunate than ourselves. They do this in foreign countries amongst disaffected populations, with security forces trying to stabilize their homelands, and in their own communities around our great Nation. The efforts of so many of our Soldiers over the past 14 years of war have been both inspiring and humbling at the same time. And when some have made the ultimate sacrifice or been left to deal with horrible and life altering wounds, our ability to support these great Americans in any number of ways, to include through our Special Forces Casualty Fund, has been so very important. As I have interacted with fathers, mothers, spouses, and children of our Fallen, I am invariably met with Family members who are proud of their Service Member, but also so thankful of the way that we have come to their support during their time of loss. And the story doesn't end there, as many of these Family members remain connected to our community and continue to give back through their involvement with Care Teams or visits to hospitals, or speaking to and with current unit volunteers. I have also witnessed our ability to provide to our Service Members when dealing with significant challenges, whether being wounded in combat, injured in training, or suffering a life altering illness. The speed at which we bring support to the front door of these Families is truly unmatched. One of the greatest rewards of what the Special Forces Casualty Fund represents is that EVERY member of the Special Forces Group sees the lengths to which we support our Families in times of difficulty and what that creates is an even deeper commitment to continued service within the Group, as well as continued service to our great Nation. Rest assured that if you are able to support ANY effort to raise funds for the Casualty Fund, I am confident beyond any doubt that the monies raised will be put to good use. I hope this short note gives you peace of mind knowing that any effort will be worthy of your time and effort, but more importantly I hope it affords you the opportunity to meet some of our Service Members and learn who they are. I promise that you will gain more from meeting and getting to know them than from most experiences you have had in your life to date. Thanks again for your consideration in supporting these great men and women and their Families. Strength and Honor, Scott Brower Scott E.
