Boys Basketball Updates (1/22/18) 2018 5 10 PG Chris Calhoun Jr. (Chicago Agricultural HS, IL) Update: Calhoun has recently heard from a handful of schools, including Blackburn College (D3) and Aurora University (D3). The quick floor general is also looking at Alabama A&M, where he was recently accepted. 2018 6 G Rhett Espe (Kaneland HS, IL) Update: Espe visited the University of Dubuque (D3) this weekend, and he was extremely impressed by the school and the UD coaching staff. Espe is also considering Lakeland University (D3). 2018 6 PG Zach Ludwig (St. Charles North HS, IL) Update: After St. Ambrose University (NAIA) expressed interest in Ludwig last week, Cornell College (D3) made contact with the smart and hard-nosed guard. 2018 6 2 G Angelo Martucci (York HS, IL) Update: Caroll University Head Coach Paul Combs came in to watch Martucci, who is focusing on Carroll, Cornell College (D3), and St. Norbert College (D3), this past weekend. 2018 6 2 PG Isaiah Fuller (Oak Park-River Forest HS, IL) Update: Division two interest in Fuller, who holds an offer from Northern Michigan (D2), expanded rapidly last week. Schools like Palm Beach Atlantic (D2), Florida Southern University (D2), Quincy University (D2), and Spring Hill College (D2) all inquired about the unsigned guard. 2018 6 PG Jaelon Hood (Proviso East HS, IL) Update: St. Ambrose University (NAIA) recently inquired about the strong, defensive-oriented floor general after watching him play a few weeks ago. 2018 5 10 PG Donald McCurdy (Morton HS, IL) Update: McCurdy has visited Loras College (D3) and Rockford University (D3), and he is looking to schedule a visit to Aurora University (D3) in coming weeks. 2019 6 2 PG Tyrese Shines (Lyons Township HS, IL) Update: Shines, who is averaging nearly 18 PPG this season, has heard from Kent State University (D1) and Western Illinois University (D1) over the past several weeks. We anticipate his recruitment exploding this spring. 2018 6 6 F Kyle King (St. Charles North HS, IL) Update: Finally, King s recruitment is picking up the momentum it deserves. Quincy University (D2), Upper Iowa (D2), University of Mary (D2), and the University of Wisconsin Whitewater (D3) are the latest suitors.
Performances of the Week 2019 6 2 G JT Daniels (Addison Trail HS, IL) Performance: Daniels, a strong and athletic guard, scored 21 points to lead Addison Trail to a huge victory over Hinsdale South on Saturday night. Alumni Spotlight 2017 5 11 G Mike Fiorito (Fenwick HS, IL) Current School: Cornell College (D3) Update: Fiorito, who has started the last several games for Cornell as a freshman, scored 15 points and pulled down 3 rebounds in a Cornell win over Beloit College last week. 2018 6 2 G Angelo Martucci (York HS, IL) Performance: Martucci had a huge tournament at the Wheaton- Warrenville South MLK Tournament, and he capped off the weekend with 15 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, and 4 steals in a win over Niles Notre Dame. 2016 6 8 F Bennett Fuzak (Geneva HS, IL) Current School: University of North Georgia (D2) Update: Fuzak played 35 minutes in a win over Georgia College last week and made the most of his time, putting up 15 points and 7 rebounds. He capped his performance off with a fastbreak dunk to end the game. 2019 5 11 PG Jack McDonald (Geneva HS, IL) Performance: McDonald, who is certainly one of the top PGs in IL s 2019 class, led Geneva to a triple-ot win over rival St. Charles East with a 28 point, 8 rebound, 8 assist effort. 2016 6 3 G Sam Husting (Helias Catholic HS, MO) Current School: Lake Forest College (D3) Update: Husting, who has earned major minutes in his first year for the Foresters, scored 15 points while handing out 7 assists against Grinnell. 2018 6 6 F Ethan Schuemer (Willowbrook HS, IL) Performance: The St. Cloud State (D2) commit is having a tremendous senior season. In his most recent performance, he scored 24 points to go along with 8 rebounds in a win over Downers Grove South. 2017 6 1 G Jack Nolan (Benet Academy, IL) Current School: Washington University in St. Louis (D3) Update: Nolan has asserted himself as one of the best freshmen in the nation while playing for #3-ranked Wash U, and his strong freshman season continued when he scored 16 points in 17 minutes against Carnegie Mellon University this past weekend.
Updates (1/22/18) Football 2019 MLB/RB Giorgio Arquilla (St. Ignatius HS, IL) Update: Dartmouth College (D1) was in to see Arquilla last week, and Columbia is among the schools who have expressed strong interest in him in the past week. 2019 WR Harper Cole (Waubonsie Valley HS, IL) Update: Columbia University (D1) is the latest to express interest in the receiver, who is competing with the Midwest Boom on the 7-on-7 circuit this summer. 2018 WR Caleb Price (Arlington HS, OH) Update: As Price s recruitment ramps up in its final months, he visited Notre Dame College (D2) and has scheduled visits to Gannon and Walsh (D2). Price is also in constant contact with Akron, Youngstown State, and Kent State (D1).
Updates (1/22/18) Girls Basketball 2019 5 9 G Quin Earley (Benet Academy, IL) Update: The Benet sharpshooter has attracted the attention of soon-to-be D2 Benedictine University. Several high-academic D3 programs remain in hot pursuit of Earley, as well. 2018 5 11 F Kelle Knopp (Plainfield North HS, IL) Update: Knopp visited North Park University (D3) this past weekend for a game and was impressed by the coaches and the school. She will visit Hope College (D3) to meet with coaches on Wednesday. 2018 5 7 PG Sofia Radice (West Chicago HS, IL) Update: Radice has jumped onto the radars of multiple D2 programs thanks to her strong play this season. Quincy University (D2), Alderson Broaddus (D2), and Minot State University (D2) have all made contact in the past week. 2019 6 1 F Kristin Ralston (Glenbrook South HS, IL) Update: Ralston, who has heard from several Ivy League schools during her strong junior season, recently attracted the attention of high-academic D3 Hope University.
