In our level III emergency department at San Mateo Medical Center (SMMC), acute care for the pediatric population is considered to be a low frequency/high risk situation. Providing realistic educational pediatric education was a priority for the staff. Simulation education allows participants to learn in an environment that is as close as possible to real clinical situations.
