Skills will range from setting up a twitter account, following people at ILEAD USA, using the program hashtag and creating lists. We will also talk about engaging through Facebook. Tailor your project by assessing community needs and expectations Lindsay Schmitt Learn how community assessment can help you create clear and actionable goals for your project. We ll use a hypothetical project to examine different types of assessment 3

(such as surveys and focus groups) and their corresponding strengths and weaknesses. Be ready to join the conversation and ask questions! This session aims to raise awareness of the issues associated with information sharing in an increasingly connected world. This session is intended to serve both libraries looking to increase their social media presence and librarians who are assisting patrons as they increase their social media presence for personal and professional reasons. 5
