Business Class Welcomes Accounting Students and Professor from Western New England University Western New England University Accounting students Shemron Ross, Dana Toimil and Rob Carmichael along with Professor Paul Tomolonis spoke to Business class students about the Accounting/Business field of study, the growing need for Accountants, Western New England University and Life as a College Student. The WNEU students work with KPMG, one of the four big auditing firms, to talk with local schools on their behalf presenting accounting information, transitioning from high school to college and possible career opportunities within the Accounting field. Each presenter also spoke about their backgrounds and the different paths they took to get to where they are today which made for a very diverse presentation. Sean Sabourin, a 10 th grader at EHS, says the visit from Western New England University Friday morning was more than informative; it was eye opening. Even though I don't have a clear vision of what I want to do in college or with my professional career, the students and professor from Western New England University provided useful information for a field that I could personally seek to enter while expressing the truths of accounting/ business as well as their honest opinions. It was nice to hear actual student's stories, and how some of them started to look into the business field while still in high school.

End of Year Events and Schedule We are swiftly approaching the end of the year at Easthampton High School. As the weather gets nicer and the last day of school approaches, it will be easy to get distracted from our main purpose; learning. Please try to stay focused and on task! There are some great activities coming up in June. Please understand that these activities are a privilege, so in order to attend you must maintain appropriate standing in academics, behavior, and attendance. For your information I have listed the dates, times, and places of all events/ activities: 6/15/18 11:00 to 12:00 6/15/18 12:00 to 12:30 6/15/18 12:30 to 2:00 6/21/18 7:44 to 7:49 6/21/18 7:52 to 9:22 6/21/18 9:30 to 11:00 6/21/18 11:00 to 11:30 6/21/18 11:00 to 2:00 6/22/18 7:44 to 7:49 6/22/18 7:52 to 9:22 6/22/18 9:30 to 11:00 6/22/18 11:00 to 11:30 6/22/18 11:00 to 2:00 6/25/18 7:44 to 11:00 Extended Advisory, class officer speeches and elections Undergraduate Awards Auditorium (11 th ); Café- Commons (10 th ); Gym (9 th ) Gymnasium Field Day Activities Gymnasium / Daley Field Advisory/Homeroom B Block Exams A Block Exams Lunch Café Commons Make-up work, extra help, & Exam Review Advisory/Homeroom C Block Exams D Block Exams Lunch Café Commons Make-up work & extra help Make-up Exams Buses will run on the normal schedule for exam days (6/21 & 6/22) and on a half day schedule for the make-up exam day (6/25). The make-up day on Monday is intended to afford students with an opportunity to complete their academic requirements. Students are expected to report and be in assigned areas at all times. If students do not have a scheduled exam (AP, Dual Enrollment, and Internship) or make-up session with a teacher during an exam period, they are allowed to leave the building. Tardy students will not be allowed to interrupt exams. Students are expected to make up their exams the afternoon of the 21 st or 22 nd. While exams are in session students must remain in their assigned classroom so as not to disrupt other students. Students are not allowed to leave until the end of the schedule exam time. Exams are extremely important, and exam days will be treated accordingly. I commend you for a fine year at EHS and wish you the best of luck next year in your promoted status. Have a great summer!! *The last day at C-Tech for students who attend the program will be Wednesday, 6/20/18. *CTEC students only need to attend school on 6/21/18 and 6/22/18 on the day they have exams. *Parents are invited to attend our underclassmen Awards Ceremony on 6/15/18 at 12:00 in the gymnasium.
