The Win a million dollars from IGA Contest (the Contest ) is being held in the 294 Participating IGA, IGA extra and IGA Coop supermarkets in Quebec and New Brunswick (a Participating IGA and collectively, as the Participating IGAs ) in collaboration with Sobeys Capital Incorporated (the Contest Organizer ). The Contest begins on September 13, 2018 at 12:01 a.m. Eastern Time ( ET ) and ends on November 7, 2018 at store closing time or no later than 11:59 p.m. (ET), whichever comes first (the Contest Period ). ELIGIBILITY 2. The Contest is open to Quebec, New Brunswick and Ontario residents who have reached the legal age of majority in their province of residence at the time of entry, solely at the 294 Participating IGAs, with the exception of the Contest Organizer s employees, agents and/or representatives, Participating IGAs affiliated merchants, nonparticipant affiliated merchants, advertising agencies or any party involved in any aspect of the Contest, respectively, as well as, any person with whom such employee, agent and / or representative is domiciled or any member of his immediate family. For the purposes of the Contest Rules, "imediate family" means the father, mother, brothers, sisters, children, husband and wife or common-law partner of such employee, agent and / or representative. 3. Each participant must participate exclusively on his behalf and acting solely for his personal benefit. HOW TO ENTER 4. The Contest will take place in three (3) distinct stages that will take place on specific dates: STAGE 1 Selection of Finalists A minimum of 7 and a maximum of 9 Finalist Prizes per Participating IGA per applicable week, for a total of 56 to 72 Finalist Prizes per Participating IGA during the Contest Period STAGE 2 Selection of Official Finalists One (1) Official Finalist Prize per Participating IGA during the Contest Period,per applicable week, for a total of 294 Official Finalist Prizes during the Contest Period) STAGE 3 Selection of the winner of the Grand Prize of CAD $1,000,000 The Finalist Draws The Finalist Draws will take place during each of the eight (8) applicable weeks, from September 13, 2018 to November 7, 2018 The Official Finalist Draw The Official Finalist Draw will take place on November 9, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. ET at the offices located at 11281 Albert-Hudon Blvd., Montréal- Nord, Quebec, H1G 3J5. The Draw for the Grand Prize will take place on November 15, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. ET at the offices located at 11281 Albert-Hudon Blvd., Montréal-Nord, Quebec, H1G 3J5. 5. For the purposes of the Contest, an applicable week for a Participating IGA is calculated from 12:00:01 a.m. ET on Thursday to 11:59:59 p.m. ET on Wednesday, as follows (each week is referred to as an applicable week and collectively, as the applicable weeks ): Week 1 September 13 to September 19 2018 Week 2 September 20 to September 26 2018 Week 3 September 27 to October 3 2018 Week 4 October 4 to October 10 2018 Week 5 October 11 to October 17 2018 Week 6 October 18 to October 24 2018 Week 7 October25 to October 31 2018 Week 8 Novermber 1 st to November 7 2018 Stage 1 - Selection of Finalists. Entry WITH PURCHASE: 6. Each purchase of one (1) product specially identified as a participating product (a participating product ) in an Participating IGA entitles the purchaser to one (1) entry in the Finalist Draws of the applicable week (see the Table above). The number of participating products will vary from one Participating IGA to another, from one applicable week to another. Purchases made from a Participating IGA via the Internet at IGA.net, under the Online Grocery tab, are also eligible for the Contest. 7. The purchase of multiple participating products within a given transaction in a Participating IGA will entitle the purchaser to the same number of entries in the Finalist Draws of the applicable week as the number of participating products purchased. For example: One (1) participating product provides one (1) entry in the Finalist Draws of the applicable week. Five (5) participating products provide five (5) entries in the Finalist Draws of the applicable week. Ten (10) participating products provide ten (10) entries in the Finalist Draws of the applicable week. 8. Contest entries are not cumulative from one purchase to the next. 9. The number of entries in the Finalist Draws of the applicable week that have been earned in a transaction will be indicated on the sales receipt given to each entrant (either as a result after a purchase made in person or following a home delivery or during the grocery store pickup of transactions carried out on IGA.net). NO-PURCHASE entry: 10. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. To enter the Contest without making a purchase, write an original letter of fifty (50) words or more, by hand, telling us why you like to do your groceries at IGA. Provide your first and last name, mailing address, city, postal code and phone number, and your email address (if possible) in your letter, place it in an envelope and bring it to the customer service counter of the Participating IGA of your choice during the Contest Period ( No-purchase Finalist Draw Entry ). The No-purchase Finalist Draw Entry for an applicable week must be received no later than the last day of the applicable week in question, at closing time of the Participating IGA or no later than 11:59 p.m., whichever comes first. Limit of one No-purchase Finalist Draw Entry per envelope, per day. 11. The No-purchase Finalist Draw Entries and the entries with purchase in the Finalist Draws are referred to collectively as the Finalist Draw Entries. 12. All entries are subject to verification at any time and for any reason. The Contest Organizer reserves the right, at its sole discretion, at any time and for any reason, to require proof of identity and/or eligibility (in a form acceptable to the Contest Organizer including, without limitation, government-issued photo ID (identification)): (i) to verify the eligibility of an entrant for the purposes of this Contest; and/or (ii) for any other reason the Contest Organizer deems necessary, at its sole discretion, for the purposes of administering the Contest in accordance with these Contest Rules. Failure to provide such proof to the complete satisfaction of the Contest Organizer within the timeline specified by the Contest Organizer may result in disqualification, at the sole discretion of the Contest Organizer. The Contest Organizer s clock is the only official timekeeping device for the Contest. Stage 1 : Finalist Draws: 13. For each Participating IGA, a minimum of seven (7) and a maximum of nine (9) random draws will be made electronically, based on an algorithm, from amongst all the eligible Finalist Draw Entries received during an applicable week (see the table in Section 3, above) (each referred to as a Finalist Draw ); for a total of 56 to 72 Finalist Draws per Participating IGA during the Contest Period. For greater clarity, there will be a minimum of 16,464 and a maximum of 21,168 Finalist Draws during the Contest Period for all the Participating IGAs. 14. The Finalist Draw Entries of an applicable week that have not been drawn will not be eligible for the draw of a subsequent applicable week. In the event that, during an applicable week, the maximum of nine (9) Finalist Prizes have been awarded for a Participating IGA, the Contest Organizer shall be entitled to temporarily suspend further entries to the Contest until the beginning of the next applicable week. 15. At the end of each applicable week and the beginning of each subsequent applicable week, the computerized draw system will be reset to zero, and the Finalist Draws will be made from the eligible Finalist Draw Entries received during the applicable week. 16. When a Finalist Draw entry is chosen at random at a cash during a transaction with a participant, the cashier or a representative authorized for these purposes shall give the applicable entrant a copy of his/her cash receipt, indicating that he/she is a potential finalist in the Contest. The chosen potential finalist shall immediately report to the service counter* of the applicable Participating IGA, where he/she must identify him/herself and fulfil all the conditions set out in Rule 19 of these Contest Rules in order to be entitled to receive the Finalist Prize (as defined below). **If the entrant is unable to report to the service counter right away, he/she shall have up to the store closing time of the applicable IGA store or no later than 11:59 p.m. (ET) on November 7, 2018, whichever comes first, during which to report to the service counter of the applicable Participating IGA and to fulfil the required conditions. If that deadline is not met, his/her entry will automatically be rejected. 17. For No-purchase Finalist Draw Entries, the employee at the service counter of the Participating IGA will enter a participating product code specially created for this type of entry at the cash register. If the computerized system identifies the entry as being a potentially winning transaction, the applicable cash register receipt will indicate that the entrant is a potential finalist in the contest. The chosen potential finalist must then fulfil all the conditions set out in Rule 19 of these Contest Rules in order to be entitled to receive the Finalist Prize (as defined below). 18. For purchases made online at IGA.net pursuant to the ONLINE GROCERY tab at a Participating IGA, the employee at such Participating IGA that prepares the order will scan the purchased participating products at the cash. communicate with the potential Finalist by telephone before delivery or pick-up of his/her order and will provide the potential Finalist with a copy of his/her cash receipt (i.e. from the cash register) indicating that he/she is a potential Finalist at the time of delivery or pick-up of his/her order. The selected potential Finalist will have to identify himself/herself to the employee doing the at-home delivery or, if the order is for pick-up, to an employee at the customer service counter of the applicable Participating IGA and, in any event (i.e. whether delivery or pick-up), the selected potential Finalist will have to fulfil all the conditions set out in Rule 19 of these Contest Rules in order to be entitled to receive the Finalist Prize (as defined below) notably, by signing and returning the Contest Organizer s liability release form before the store closing time of the applicable IGA store or no later than 11:59 p.m. (ET) on November 7, 2018, whichever comes first. 19. IN ORDER TO BE DECLARED A CONFIRMED FINALIST AND BE ENTITLED TO A FINALIST PRIZE, the entrant selected in the draw must give his/her cash receipt to the authorized representative of the Participating IGA and complete, sign and hand in the Contest Organizer s liability release form before the store closing time of the applicable Participating IGA store or no later than 11:59 p.m. (ET) on November 7, 2018, whichever comes first. Each Participant remains solely responsible for keeping their cash register receipt. The participant must ensure the accuracy of the information on the release form. The Contest Organizer can not be held responsible for data entry errors that may occur due to poor calligraphy or for incomplete data entries. In said form, he/she: (i) shall correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question, in the allotted time and without mechanical or other assistance; (ii) confirm having read and abide by these Contest Rules; (iii) acknowledges accepting the Finalist Prize (as awarded); (iv) releases the Contest Organizer, all Participating IGAs, their subsidiaries, affiliated companies, representatives, franchisees, affiliated merchants, advertising and promotional agencies and Contest participating products suppliers and collaborators, as well as their respective officers, directors, employees, agents, representatives, respective successors and assigns (collectively the Released Parties ), from any liability with respect to this Contest, the winner s participation therein, the allocation and use or misuse of the Prize or any part thereof; and (v) consents to be filmed and agrees to the publication, reproduction and/or use of his/her name, address, voice, statement concerning the Contest and/or photo or any other likeness, without notice or compensation, in any promotion or publicity carried out by or on behalf of the Contest Organizer and/or the Participating IGA in any way whatsoever or in any media, including without limitation print, broadcast or Internet, and including the IGA TV screens in Participating IGAs and on www.iga.net. Each entrant bears sole responsibility for keeping the cash receipt in his/her possession, until handing it in as described above. 20. If an eligible selected entrant: (a) fails to correctly answer the skill-testing question; (b) fails to hand in the cash receipt and the duly signed liability release form within the specified time limit; (c) cannot (or will not) accept the applicable prize (as awarded), for any reason whatsoever; and/or (d) is deemed to have contravened these Contest Rules (as determined by the Contest Organizer, at its sole and absolute discretion), he/she may, at the sole and absolute discretion of the Contest Organizer, be disqualified (in which case, he/she shall forfeit all rights to the applicable prize). 21. An entrant may be named winner of a Finalist Prize (a Finalist ) more than once during the Contest Period. Stage 2 - Selection of Official Finalists. 22. One (1) Official Finalist per Participating IGA will be selected at random on November 9, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. ET in the offices at 11281 Albert-Hudon Blvd., Montréal-Nord, Quebec, H1G-3J5 from amongst all the Finalists named for the applicable Participating IGA during the Contest Period (each one a Official Finalist Draw ), for a total of two hundred ninety-four (294) Official Finalist Draws and a total of two hundred ninety-four (294) Official Finalists. 23. Official Finalists From November 9 to 13, 2018, an authorized representative of the Contest Organizer will contact the entrants selected in the applicable draws, by telephone. 24. The Contest Organizer (or its designated representative) will attempt to contact the potential Official Finalist Prize winner at least two (2) times by telephone within two (2) calendar days of the Official Finalist Draw using the Contest : «Win a Million dollars from IGA» Page 4 of 8

information the potential Official Finalist Prize winner provided on his/her liability release form Finalist. The potential Official Finalist Prize winner will have 24 hours from the first communication attempt to call back the Contest Organizer or its designated representative, failing which he/she will be disqualified. If it is not possible to contact the potential Grand Prize winner in accordance with the terms of this paragraph, or if the potential Official Finalist Prize winner does not completely and continuously fulfill all of the conditions outlined in these Contest Rules or if he/she refuses or neglects to accept the Official Finalist Prize as awarded, then, without limitation, the potential Official Finalist Prize winner will be disqualified and forfeits any and all rights to the Official Finalist Prize and another eligible Finalist will be selected by random draw from among the remaining eligible Finalists. The Contest Organizer will in no event be liable for data entry errors which can result from poor calligraphy or incomplete data entries. 25. IN ORDER TO BE DECLARED A CONFIRMED OFFICIAL FINALIST AND BE ENTITLED TO THE OFFICIAL FINALIST PRIZE, the selected person must complete, sign and send by email or sign and hand in the Contest Organizer s liability release form before the store closing time of the applicable Participating IGA store or no later than 11:59 p.m. (ET) on November 7, 2018, whichever comes first. The Participant must ensure the accuracy of the information on the release form(s). If an eligible selected entrant: (a) fails to correctly answer the skill-testing question; (b) fails to hand in the duly signed liability release form within the specified time limit; (c) cannot (or will not) accept the applicable prize (as awarded), for any reason whatsoever; and/or (d) is deemed to have contravened these Contest Rules (as determined by the Contest Organizer, at its sole and absolute discretion), he/she may, at the sole and absolute discretion of the Contest Organizer, be disqualified (in which case, he/she shall forfeit all rights to the applicable prize). 27. A Finalist may not be named winner of an Official Finalist Prize (an Official Finalist ) more than once during the Contest Period. Stage 3 - Selection of the $1,000,000 Grand Prize winner 28. One (1) Grand Prize Winner will be selected at random on November 15, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. ET at the offices of Sobeys Québec located at 11281 Albert-Hudon Blvd., Montréal-Nord, Quebec, H1G 3J5 from amongst all the Official Finalists named during the Contest (the Grand Prize Winner Draw ). 29. The Contest Organizer (or its designated representative) will attempt to contact the potential Grand Prize winner at least two (2) times by telephone within two (2) calendar days of the Grand Prize Winner Draw using the information the potential Grand Prize winner provided on his/her liability release form Official Finalist. The potential Grand Prize winner will have twenty-four (24) hours from the first communication attempt to call back the Contest Organizer or its designated representative, failing which he/she will be disqualified. If it is not possible to contact the potential Grand Prize winner in accordance with the terms of this paragraph, or if it is not possible to publicly reveal on television or contact in person the potential Grand Prize winner using the mailing address provided on his/her liability release form Official Finalist in compliance with Sections 31and 32 below within five (5) calendar days after the Grand Prize Winner Draw date (at a date and time to be announced by the Contest Organizer during the week of November 5, 2018), if the potential Grand Prize winner does not completely and Contest : «Win a Million dollars from IGA» Page 5 of 8

continuously fulfill all of the conditions outlined in these Contest Rules or if he/she refuses or neglects to accept the Grand Prize as awarded, then, without limitation, the potential Grand Prize winner will be disqualified and forfeits any and all rights to the Grand Prize and another eligible Official Finalist will be selected by random draw from among the remaining eligible Official Finalists. PRIZES (individually, a Prize, collectively, the Prizes ) 30. The prizes to be won are as follows: Finalist Prize: There will be a minimum of 16,464 and a maximum of 21,168 Finalist Prizes to be won during the Contest Period among all Participating IGAs, each consisting of one (1) IGA gift card worth CAD$25.00 and the chance to enter the Official Finalist Draw for the Participating IGA. The approximate total value of all the Finalist prizes offered in the Contest varies from CAD$411,600 to a maximum of CAD$529,200. Official Finalist Prize: There will be a total of two hundred ninety-four (294) Official Finalist Prizes to be won in this Contest (i.e. one (1) per Participating IGA), each consisting of one (1) IGA gift card worth CAD$500.00 and the chance to enter the Grand Prize Winner Draw. The approximate total value of all the Official Finalist Prizes offered in the Contest is CAD$147,000. Grand Prize: There will be one (1) Grand Prize to be won in this Contest, consisting of a cheque in the amount of CAD$1,000,000.00. The value of the Grand Prize is CAD$1,000,000.00. The total value of all the prizes offered in the Contest is CAD$1,558,600. Any expense related to acceptance of the prize will be assumed by the winner. 31. Grand Prize Winner the identity of the potential Grand Prize winner will be revealed on television within five (5) calendar days after the Grand Prize Winner Draw, and the potential Grand Prize winner will be advised that he/she has been selected as the potential Grand Prize winner as described in Section 28. NOTWITHSTANDING ANY ANNOUNCEMENT OR TELEVISION NOTIFICATION, THE POTENTIAL GRAND PRIZE WINNER IS SUBJECT TO VERIFICATION BY THE CONTEST ORGANIZER, WHOSE DECISIONS ARE FINAL AND BINDING IN ALL MATTERS RELATED TO THE CONTEST. IN ORDER TO BE DECLARED A CONFIRMED OFFICIAL FINALIST OR GRAND PRIZE WINNER AND BE ENTITLED TO AN APPLICABLE PRIZE, the selected person must report: (i) in the case of an Official Finalist Prize, to the supermarket where he/she was declared a finalist, within 24 hours of receiving the call from the Contest Organizer s authorized representative, and (ii) in the case of the Grand Prize, in addition to the what has been stated above in Sections 28 and 31, the potential winner must have been successfully contacted in person by the Contest Organizer within five (5) days of the Grand Prize Winner Draw date (at a date and time to be announced by the Contest Organizer during the week of November 5, 2018) at the mailing address provided on his/her liability release form Official Finalist, and, in any event, complete, sign and hand on demand (including without limitation before a deadline that may be stated by the Contest Organizer) the Contest Organizer s liability release form(s) in which he/she: (i) shall correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question, in the allotted time and without mechanical or other Contest : «Win a Million dollars from IGA» Page 6 of 8

assistance; (ii) agree to be bound by these Contest Rules; (iii) acknowledge accepting the Prize (as awarded); (iv) releases the Released Parties, from any liability with respect to this Contest, the winner s participation therein and/or receipt and/or use or misuse of the Prize or any part thereof; and (v) consent to being filmed and agrees to the publication, reproduction and/or use of his/her name, address, voice, statement concerning the Contest and/or photo or any other likeness, without notice or compensation, in any promotion or publicity carried out by or on behalf of the Contest Organizer and/or the Participating IGA in any way whatsoever or in any media, including without limitation print, broadcast or Internet, and including on the IGA TV screens in Participating IGAs and on www.iga.net. 33. If an eligible selected entrant: (a) fails to correctly answer the skill-testing question; (b) fails to present himself/herself or cannot be contacted as contemplated in (and in accordance with) these Contest Rules (as applicable); (c) fails to hand in the duly signed liability release form within the specified time limit; (d) cannot (or will not) accept the applicable prize (as awarded), for any reason whatsoever; and/or (e) is deemed to have contravened these Contest Rules (as determined by the Contest Organizer, at its sole and absolute discretion), he/she may, at the sole and absolute discretion of the Contest Organizer, be disqualified (in which case, he/she shall forfeit all rights to the applicable prize). The Contest Organizer will in no event be liable for data entry errors which can result from poor calligraphy or incomplete data entries. ODDS OF WINNING 34. The odds of winning a Finalist Prize will vary from one Participating IGA to the next and from one applicable week to the next as a function of the size, historical sales of participating products (actual or similar) and projected sales of participating products at each Participating IGA, all of which is intended to award the Finalist Prizes outlined in these Contest Rules. The odds of winning a Finalist Prize will vary throughout the Contest Period as Finalist Prizes are won. The total number of Finalist Prizes available to be won during an applicable week will decrease as they are won during each applicable week. 35. The odds of winning an Official Finalist Prize depend on the number of eligible Finalists that are selected at each Participating IGA. 36. The Official Finalists will have one (1) chance out of two hundred ninety-four (294) of winning the Grand Prize. 37. If due to printing, production, online transmission, internet, computer or other error of any kind, more prizes are claimed than intended to be awarded according to these Contest Rules, or in the event that due to such error, a valid prize claim is revealed, making the number of valid prize claims greater than the number of prizes available under these Contest Rules, then, in addition to having the right to terminate the Contest immediately, the Contest Organizer reserves the right, at its sole and absolute discretion, to rescind any invalid prize claim and/or conduct a random draw, after the Contest closes, from amongst all eligible entries concerned to award the remaining number of advertised prizes. In no event will the Contest Organizer nor Released Parties be liable for more than the stated number of prizes in these Contest Rules. GENERAL CONDITIONS 38. By entering the Contest, entrants agree to be bound by the Contest Rules and the decisions of the Contest Organizer, which are final and binding, without right of appeal. 39. The Released Parties disclaim any liability for the Prizes and the Contest and make no warranties with respect thereto. 40. online or over the Internet not received by the Contest Organizer as a result of technical problems or bottleneck on the Internet or any website, or any combination of such situations, The Contest Organizer and the other Released Parties cannot be held liable for any damage that may affect the computer equipment of the participants following their registration in the Contest. The Released Parties cannot be held responsible for any damage or problem that may be caused by a signal interruption or technical failure to broadcast and / or receive a signal. The Contest Organizer and the other Release Beneficiaries will not be liable for any other problem that may interfere with the proper operation of this Contest in accordance with the rules set forth herein, including but not limited to, the cancellation or postponement of the broadcast of the promotion for this Contest. 41. The Released Parties will not be liable for incomplete or incomprehensible contact details of the entrants. 42. All automatic entries and no-purchase entry requests become the property of the Contest Organizer and no communication will be initiated except with selected entrants, as applicable. 43. Prizes awarded in the form of gift cards will not be replaced in the event of loss, theft, demagnetization of the card or any other damage. See conditions of use on the back of gift cards. 44. In the event that the Prize or part of the Prize is not available, or for any other reason, the Contest Organizer reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to award a similar prize or a prize of equal value. Subject to the foregoing, Prizes or substitute prizes must be accepted as awarded and may not be exchanged for cash or transferred to another person, except at the sole and entire discretion of the Contest Organizer. 45. The Contest Organizer reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend this Contest in whole or in part should human intervention or an event occur that could alter or affect the administration, security, impartiality or conduct of the Contest as provided in these Contest Rules, subject to the approval of the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec, where applicable. In no event will the Contest Organizer be required to award more than one Prize (or substitute prize) or to award a Prize (or substitute prize) otherwise than in accordance with these Contest Rules. 46. No cash receipt will be replaced if it is lost, stolen, destroyed, damaged or used without consent. The Contest Organizer reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to reject any cash receipt that is illegible as well as any entry that is fraudulent, unauthorized, illegal or in violation of these Rules. 47. Any attempt to deliberately damage any website or undermine the legitimate conduct of this contest is a breach of the criminal and civil laws and, in such cases, the Contest Organizer reserves the right to exercise its recourses and claim damages under the law, including criminal proceedings. 48. The name of the Grand Prize winner will be available at on the Contest Organizer s Web site at www.iga.net/at the latest ten (10) days after the Grand Prize Winner Draw and will remain available for a minimum of (10) days. 49. For residents of Quebec, any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of a publicity contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for a ruling. Any litigation respecting the awarding of a Prize may be submitted to the board only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement. 51. This Contest is subject to all applicable federal and provincial laws as well as all applicable municipal bylaws. 52. In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the terms and conditions of the French version of these Contest Rules and disclosures or other statements contained in any Contest-related materials, including, but not limited to: this English version of the Contest Rules, and/or point of sale, television, print or online advertising; the terms and conditions of the French Contest Rules shall prevail, govern and control.
