They sang "Days of Elijah" and did an excellent job! This performance was to show our congregation a part of our Children's Ministry. CHURCH WIDE PICNIC LAST SUNDAY! Thank you to Jet and Bryn Taylor for opening Sugartree Farms to Central this past Sunday afternoon. The beautiful landscape was only surpassed by the fun we had! We did get some of the liquid sunshine about an hour into the picnic, but it only added to the fun! Adults had a beautiful pavilion in which to stay dry while the children did what children do best play in the rain! Thanks to all who brought 4-wheelers and go carts and were willing to share with all! Thanks also to Mr. Trevor (Gore) who gave all terrain rides in his Jeep with the top down in the rain!!! As always, thank you to our staff for their never ending, behind the scenes work - John Drake for making sure the grill was ready for highway travel, Tyrone Rush, Justin and Brandon Boston for all of their help in preparation for our event. A SPECIAL thank you to Brooks Hunter and Brandon Boston for cooking in the rain! Your efforts were much appreciated and enjoyed!

MISSIONS AND EVANGELISM UNITED METHODIST WOMEN MEETING We will have an interest meeting for ladies, (ages 25-35) on Wednesday, October 7th in the Parlor during the Wednesday Nite Live meal time. The meal starts at 5:00 p.m. We invite you to drop your kids off, eat, and fellowship with ladies who will tell you about United Methodist Women's groups. For all the circle groups that already meet, please have at least two representatives from your circle to share what UMW is all about! If you have any questions, please call Kristina Crabtree at the church office (601.693.1521). ASLANe MISSION September has flown by because we have been having fun with ASLANe's Mission. You have this mission through your gifts to the thrift store and through support those who needed identification to further work toward jobs and moving out of homelessness. You did that church! If you ever get the need to clean out your house or storage units, ASLANe's Mission could always use your items to support their purpose in opening a women and children shelter or maybe you just love to thrift. You can always find good treasures! HAITI MISSION TRIP - MAY 22-28, 2016 The purpose of this trip is to be the hands and feet of Jesus through the avenue of education. In Haiti, the average child will only complete the sixth grade and then be sent to work. We have been talking with the Haitian Pastor of their Hope Center in Thoman. He believes in the power of education for the greater purpose of these children. The school is a Christian school, where they are learning educational knowledge through the avenue of God. What a great mission opportunity to be involved. We have 12 spots available for this team mission trip. More information to come!
