Sponsor Prospectus We invite you to attend and sponsor the 22 nd Annual San Diego Glycobiology Symposium (SDGS), which will be held on February 1 2, 2019, in San Diego, CA. This dynamic event promises to offer highly visible opportunities for sponsors to reach a diverse population of researchers from across the nation. Attendees come from academia and the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. Leading senior level faculty will be in attendance with their lab members and trainees (see the attached speaker list), expanding the reach of our audience. Presentation topics are not designated in advance, allowing researchers to present their most leading-edge and often, as yet, unpublished research results, creating an exciting backdrop to the entire meeting. The off the record policy set at the meeting allows for an intimate setting where discussions often lead to new collaborations that last a lifetime. Why sponsor SDGS? Recognition: Exhibiting at the symposium will enable you to highlight your company s services and products to a diverse group of researchers and to support collaborations and new discoveries. Your company will be acknowledged in all symposium advertising, on the website and in the final program. Exposure: Breaks, lunches and the Friday evening poster reception are opportunities for sponsors to interact with attendees. Food and drink stands will be integrated between exhibits to increase traffic. Signage, table tents, on screen information all provide a highly visible means of showcasing your company to those in the field of glycoscience. Platinum and Gold Sponsors are given an opportunity to make a brief presentation to the assembly about their company and products or services. Networking: Hear about the latest glycoscience research and the rapid evolution of the field. You will have numerous opportunities to interact with meeting attendees, demonstrate or present your products, and make the acquaintance of both seasoned and next generation top scientists. Encourage the Next Generation: NextGen, our half-day program and reception designed specifically for young researchers is an opportunity to reach the next generation of top scientists. Within the laboratories, these young researchers are the moving force and often making purchasing and service choices. Choosing to support NextGen will give you exposure specifically to these future scientific leaders. Support Innovation: Now, more than ever, the importance of glycoscience in fields as diverse as evolution, cancer research and human health, materials science, energy production, bioinformatics, and drug discovery has never been more apparent. Your support for academic research and the breakthroughs that translate into improvements in human health and lifestyle is invaluable. While we hope you or company representative(s) will be able to attend the symposium to interact directly with leaders in the field, should you be unable to attend personally, we are happy to work with you to

ensure your support is recognized, can set up a display on your behalf, and will assist with receiving and returning your shipped materials. For the latest information please visit the symposium s website at grtc.ucsd.edu/sdgs or for more information, contact Tracy Gilstrap, sdgs@ucsd.edu, (858) 822-1378 Thank you for your consideration. We look forward to hearing from you soon. Sincerely, Kamil Godula Philip Gordts 2019 SDGS Co-Chair 2019 SDGS Co-Chair Assistant Professor Assistant Professor Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry Department of Medicine About the Glycobiology Research and Training Center The Glycobiology Research and Training Center (GRTC) brings together faculty interested in glycans from a wide range of research areas. The Center is a Organized Research Unit (ORU), crossing the typical boundaries between departments. The Core GRTC faculty actively manage research laboratories where graduate students and postdoctoral scholars explore questions about human health, evolution and energy in the search for potentially life-changing answers. While the headquarters and leadership of the GRTC are at, GRTC members include faculty from academic institutions throughout California, with a vast range of research interests, creating an unparalleled network of expertise and collaboration in the field.
