June 2 nd Save the Date:. Email school district personnel, counselors, teachers, government officials, manufacturers, associations, and RMAs a save the date invitation. Mid June Mid July Early August End of August Mid September October 2 nd Manufacturing Day October 20 th November 10 th Begin recruiting MFG Day Hosts. Regional coordinators ask manufacturers and colleges to host Made in Florida tours for students and/or other events. Solicit Donations from RMAs, Associations, and School Districts: Request donations for t-shirts, transportation, substitute teacher compensation, etc. Design shirt. Request proclamations from county officials: Proclamation templates are on the FLATE website. Invite schools and community members to attend student tours and use student tour curriculum. Regional coordinators match schools with manufacturers for the Made in Florida tours& arrange for buses. Announce all events. Press Releases and Social Media Blitz All tour logistics complete Regional partners receive tour tips, shirts & surveys. The kickoff is October 2 nd. However, events take place all month long. The majority of FLATE coordinated student tours take place on Oct 2.
