AORN staff works for you at Congress Those green ribbons you see on badges belong to the AORN Headquarters staff. You ll see staff members in the Convention Center throughout the week working to make Congress run smoothly. They started working with Anaheim convention personnel more than a year ago to make your Congress week pleasant and productive. Feel free to stop any of them if you have questions. They can steer you in the right direction. As head of the Headquarters team, Jerry G Peers, RN, directs Congress planning. At Board meetings before and after Congress, she will report on AORN projects. She attends the House of Delegates sessions and is a staff representative to the Exhibitors Advisory Committee. Stationed in the Headquarters office, Board and Executive Secretary Mickey Meyer keeps appointments for the Board and parliamentarian. As assistant executive director, Michael D Corley is responsible for all the business-related departments of the Association. At Congress, he is consultant to the Meeting Services Department and serves as a staff representative to the Exhibitors Advisory Committee. Sylvia Rottman, director of meeting services, is in charge of all convention arrangements except the educational sessions. As director of education, Anita O Brien, RN, assists the education staff in planning the educational program. At Congress, she talks with members about AORN educational policies. Sharon Lunn, RN (right), program specialist in continuing education, and Paula Stiles, RN (center), credentialing coordinator, will be staffing the evaluation room. Sara Katsh, librarian, is responsible for the continuing education computer cards you hand in at each session. Bradley J Manuel, RN, assistant director of educationlcontinuing education, is overall coordinator for Congress educational sessions. Colleen Harvey, RN (left), assistant director of educationlconsultation, will coordinate educational sessions held at the Marriott Hotel. On hand in the self-paced learning room will be Leslie Grosser, RN (left), and Sunny Merrill, RN (right), program specialists in continuing education. Assisting them will be Pam Gibson, secretary. The AORN accounting staff. Joyce Nelson (standing, left), administrative assistant, supervises the Congress accounting office. She will be assisted by Brenda Brit0 (seated, left), accounting clerk. Karen Darrah (standing, right), is in charge of the book store. Martha Anacker, accounting clerk, takes care of bus ticket sales. Accounting manager Donna Krowen is responsible for all accounting functions at Congress. Dale Anacker, mailroom and stockroom supervisor, is in charge of shipping and handling Congress supplies and equipment. 454 AORN Journal, February 1982, Val 35, No 3

Ruthmary Robinson (left), computer services coordinator, shares in management of the registration area. JoAnn Vold from the computer services staff is responsible for all data entry for Congress registration. Dan Novak, director of computer services, will be managing registration in conjunction with Ruthmary Robinson. Membership director Caroline Rogers, RN, is AORN s parliamentarian at the House of Delegates. She is also in charge of delegate registration, credentials changes, and voting. 456 AORN Journal, February 1982, Vol35, No 3

You will find the membership staff working in the registration area. They are Rosalie Retzer, secretary (left); Mary Me Fall, secretary; and Maria falamantes, membership clerk.
