Unusual cravings. Aches and pains. Endless conversations. A world that revolves around you and your baby. Motherhood, as much as it is tremendously exciting, is equally bewildering, and often, daunting too. Here at Gleneagles Maternia, we understand that. Which is why we aim to make all mothers-to-be feel normal, think normal. From the moment a mother finds out she is pregnant, till the moment she walks out of our doors, we are here to support her, give her the confidence, and guide her as she steps back into day-to-day life. At the centre of our universe Giving birth, especially if it s the first child, is both an exciting and daunting time in a woman s life. With a keen eye on making the birthing experience as positive as possible, our warm, friendly and highly-experienced maternal-foetal wellbeing team is ever ready to offer advice, support and care.

Indeed, our neonatal intensive care and special care baby units are right here in the hospital itself, with the most sophisticated systems available to monitor and care for babies who have complications. In complex pregnancies, a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals led by your consultant obstetrician will meet prior to the birth to plan a clinical care pathway to ensure safe delivery for both mother and the baby. The team, unique to your personal circumstance, will include a senior consultant obstetrician, consultant anaesthetist, consultant neonatologist, a medical obstetrician and a lead nurse.
