November 2018 Turkey drive! St. Felix Pantry will again be partnering with the Garza family and other community partners to help us feed hungry families this Thanksgiving. Last year nearly 1,200 people received a traditional Thanksgiving meal at the Garzas McDonald s restaurant on Pat D Arco Highway in Rio Rancho. This year we are anticipating about the same amount of people. With that said, we need your help. We need turkeys! We need 70 to be exact. You are invited to make a turkey or monetary donation at St. Felix Pantry at 4020 Barbara Loop SE in Rio Rancho. Can't make it to the Pantry? Donate online today! www.stfelixpantry. org. All donations will benefit hungry families just in time for Thanksgiving. For more information contact Manuel at mcasias@stfelix pantry.org or call: 505-270-1366. Page 4 St. Felix Pantry s Grocery Bag Ways to give Each gift to St. Felix Pantry makes a tangible difference in the lives of the many guests who come to the Pantry five days a week and will also help us to make a distinct and tangible difference in the lives of God s people all across New Mexico. For more than 40 years, Felician Sisters have compassionately served all in need, heeding our foundress call to be totally available to all, giving aid to all without exception. We invite you to consider making a gift to help support and foster this Felician legacy of compassionate service, partnering with us in a journey filled with hope for the people and ministries we serve, hope for those we have yet to serve, and hope for the spiritual renewal of the world. Contributions are tax deductible as provided by law. Consider the following gift options: LIFE INSURANCE POLICY Did you know many people have life insurance policies that were purchased years ago for a specific reason? We all know a few people who purchased policies because they had young children and they wanted to provide for the children in case anything happened to them. As with all important documents, we should review our life insurance policies regularly to make sure they are still serving their purpose, are appropriate for our current situation and name the right beneficiary. Perhaps you have a policy that is no longer needed. Your children are grown, you have settled into retirement, and you may no longer need that safety net. Did you know you can give that policy to St. Felix Pantry? If you name St. Felix Pantry as the owner and beneficiary of the policy, you can receive an income tax deduction and reduce the size of your taxable estate. For many people, life insurance policies are hidden assets that are often forgotten until it is too late to change the beneficiary or to donate to a worthy cause. This is a great way to make a huge impact in our fight against hunger in New Mexico without affecting your income or emergency savings. And it s easy to do. Your insurance agent or the insurance company can get the appropriate forms for you. GIFT BY CHECK You may make a gift to St. Felix Pantry by way of cash or check. Such gifts may be unrestricted or you may choose to designate a donation for a specific use or for a specific ministry. You may mail your contribution to: St. Felix Pantry Development Office 4020 Barbara Loop SE Rio Rancho, NM 87124 GIFT BY CREDIT CARD Go to our secure Donate Online page to make a gift with your VISA, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover Card. Find us at www. stfelixpantry.org IN MEMORY OF A memorial gift is a caring, thoughtful way to remember a friend or a loved one. When making a memorial gift, please specify the name of the individual you are remembering. You can make these donations either by mail or online. IN HONOR OF Gifts in honor of a family member, friend or colleague are thoughtful ways to recognize an individual s accomplishments, or a birthday, anniversary or other occasion. When making such a gift, please specify the name of the individual you are honoring. These donations can be made by mail or online. MATCHING GIFTS Some companies match charitable donations made by employees. Such additional support increases the value of your gift. Check with your employer s human resources department to see if your organization has a gift-match program. If so, please complete the matching gift form and return it with your gift. BEQUESTS You may choose to name St. Felix Pantry as a beneficiary in your will or trust, creating a legacy of caring and support as you help to strengthen and sustain the Pantry's mission and ministry for generations to come. Individuals have chosen to remember St. Felix Pantry in their wills in a variety of ways, such as naming St. Felix Pantry to receive a specific asset, a percentage of the estate, or as a residual beneficiary. For more information about this option, please contact Manuel Casias, Vice President of Development, mcasias@stfelixpantry.org, 505-270-1366. PLANNED GIFTS Planned gifts are charitable gifts made as part of an individual s financial or estate planning. Such gifts, that can offer tax benefits and other personal incentives, can be funded through a variety of options such as life insurance policies, retirement plans, or real estate, among others. For example, types of planned giving include: Designating St. Felix Pantry as a beneficiary of a retirement plan; Creating a charitable gift annuity or a charitable remainder trust with St. Felix Pantry as beneficiary Donating a residence or other property to St. Felix Pantry. For more information about planned giving, please contact Manuel Casias, Vice President of Development, mcasias@stfelixpantry.org, 505-270-1366.
