April 28 - May 4 EARLY SIGN-UP [limited spots] A Latin American Mission for Triple Impact Innovation Economic Social Environmental www.sistemab.org/israel

WHAT IS THE ECONOMY MISSION? It is an experience that brings together people interested in knowing and accelerating the Triple Impact Economy by visiting reference countries. The first trip took place in June 2018, when we went to the Netherlands to learn about circular economy initiatives, smart cities, fair trade, ethical banking and social innovation (to learn more about the First Mission click here). In April 2019, we will visit Israel, a land of entrepreneurship and innovation par excellence. It will be a 7-day trip to different regions of the country, focusing on innovation with economic, social and environmental impact. ACTIVITIES We will visit the main references in business, investment funds, startups, academic institutions, accelerators and incubators, innovation centers and government entities of Israel. All of which focus on technological development and triple impact innovation and are dedicated to creating initiatives that benefit society. It is an opportunity to explore the ecosystem of Israel from another perspective, to showcase and share experiences of economic, social and environmental impact with international peers. The background for the activities will be the cultural dimension of Israel, as we aim to obtain a deeper understanding of the social, political and cultural forces that shape modern Israel, as well as the complexities of the region. These activities challenge the participants to think about how they can exert an even greater impact in their different areas.

WHY ISRAEL? With a population of 8 million inhabitants, a desert territory of 20,770 km², scarce natural resources and surrounded by conflicts, Israel, today known as the "Startup Nation", has managed to become a world leader on entrepreneurship and innovation. Israel has played an important role in revolutionizing the way technology is used to address the greatest environmental and social challenges in the world. Israel's ability to overcome scarcity through technological innovation can be adopted by other countries that wish to adapt technologies that dissociate development from the use of increasingly scarce natural resources. Israel is a well-known world leader in sustainable innovation in many fields, including water resources and agricultural technology, renewable energy, high tech, technologies in medicine, food and education, among others. It is the territory with the highest relative investment in R&D 4.5% of its GDP -, and the highest concentration of startups in the world. Thanks to the recognition of the importance of research, development and especially human capital, Israel has become a source of creativity and innovation, as well as a technological greenhouse that is an inspiration to the whole world. PROGRAM OBJECTIVES Learning about the Israeli social impact ecosystem: businesses, impact investment funds, startups, academic institutions, accelerators and incubators, innovation centers and government entities of Israel.

Networking: an opportunity to meet and talk to with leaders, experts and entrepreneurs from different impact industries. Generating business opportunities and promoting cooperation among participants, creating connections with the Israeli impact market. Learning from Israel's experiences in social and environmental innovation to apply them in personal and professional development. Learning about cases of triple impact businesses and initiatives that drive the impact economy in different scopes and industries. Learning about Israel's ability to overcome the scarcity of resources through innovation. Understanding the key factors of success in the consolidation of the Israeli social innovation ecosystem and in the construction of an entrepreneurial culture: "Creating businesses for the world. " VERTICAL AXES Renewable Energies Educational Technologies Sustainable agro-industry Innovation in health and disability Foodtech Technologies for water efficiency Peacemaking through economic development Circular economy Sustainable mobility Urbanism / sustainable architecture

TRIPLE IMPACT OF METHODOLOGY It includes visits to triple impact businesses, meetings with business people and entrepreneurs, experts, academics, members of the public sector and impact investors, in addition to inspirational talks and networking events. In parallel, we will visit the main tourist WHO IS IT FOR? For people who want to deepen their knowledge about the Triple Impact Economy within the context of Israeli innovation.
