What is EUREKA? An intergovernmental initiative of 41 European countries Created in 1985 (nearly 30 years existence) Support European industrial competitiveness through cooperative innovation projects >2
What is EUREKA project? A transnational(international) cooperation project The project consortium is composed of at least 2 organisation of 2 different EUREKA member or associated countries Financed using national and regional public and private funding Each organisation financed through national(regional) public funding following the national(regional) funding rules Market-oriented projects results The research s results must be marketable products, processes or services for civilian use Bottom-up The consortium usually led by a company - decides on the project aim. >3

EUREKA Clusters & Umbrellas: - Thematic Calls (1-2 per year); - One or Two Step Centralised Cluster Evaluation and Labeling; National funding decision based on a national review of the Cluster Evaluation; - Cluster monitoring and impact assessment; - Thematic networks focussing on a specific technology area to generate projects; 3.
