Classroom Attire: Will consist of agency uniform or casual office attire. TRAINING SCHEDULE: January 1- March 31, 2019 Please let us know if you are planning to attend. It is imperative that you pre-register for all classes you want to attend. Failure to do so may result in the class being cancelled for low enrollment, failure of the instructor to bring enough materials for all students who arrive, or refusal to allow you to attend the class in situations where enrollment is limited. If you are signed up for a class, please notify the Academy within 24 hours before the class that you will not be unable to attend. This may give someone else an opportunity to take your place. All training will be held at the LSO Training Academy at 712 Broadway at no charge, unless otherwise specified. Training Mandates & Certificates There are two 24-month periods in the current training cycle which ends on August 31, 2021. The first 24-month period, or unit, begins on 09/01/2017 and ends on 08/31/2019. The second 24-month period, or unit, begins on 09/01/2019 and ends on 08/31/2021, which is also the conclusion date of the 48-month training cycle. Those holding a BASIC PEACE OFFICER Certificate or no certificate will be required to have Cultural Diversity, Special Investigative Topics, and Crisis Intervention Training. Those holding an INTERMEDIATE or higher do not have specific courses (other than the State and Federal Law Update Course)

January Training Jan. 7-9 Crisis Communication #2120 24 hrs. 8am-5pm Registration Deadline 1/4/19 Individuals desiring to obtain an Intermediate Telecommunications Proficiency Certificate, who were certified with a Basic Telecommunications Proficiency Certificate after January 1, 2002. Pre-Requisites: Individuals should have taken the Basic Telecommunications Course #1013. Jan. 7-10 Peace Officer Field Training #3702 32 hrs. 8am-5pm Instructor(s): Cpl.
